Great car
Bought Base V6 AWD on 11/4/06. Driving every day on Route 17 (who lives in NJ knows what does it mean) - pretty much city driving. Today filled 1st time. Exactly 21 mph - first time see the same number as on sticker (usually EPA number is 20-25% better then reality). Great ride, acceleration, suspension, standard radio sound quality and reception. Not much blind zones. All controls are so easy you don't need to read a manual. Seats are very supportive. Turning circle is excellent.
get the V-6
Had a crv 2002. This Rav4 is better in every way. V-6 is fast but still very quiet and economy pretty good with 5 speed automatic. Like the fact that you can pick your options.

Good car if you like lemons
I am making payments on my 2007 Toyota Rav4 3.5 liter v6 engine limited. I had 3 lights on the dash (ABS, VSC, and BRAKE light). I loved my car at 1st. Lots of room, a lot of room, and the fuel economy was good too. But those are the only good things I can say about it. To make a long story short, I have had to have my water pump replaced once, alternator twice, serpentine belt 3 times, crank shaft pulley, the seal/gasket for it twice because of this oil leak that developed recently. Now its leaking more than ever, now it looks like someone is poring oil into it, but missing it completely. Its poring out, but only when the car is running. I will be so glad to get this car paid off so I can take it in to 1 of those push/pull/drag it in places and they will give me 1500 towards a trade in. Oh yeah, and 1 more thing, the 4wd sucks, it barely works. You can barely make it up a hill. Especially if you are on snow/ice, and you stop at a stop sign at a T intersection.

SUV sports car
Have had the Rav Sport V6 4x4 for 5 weeks and 4000 miles. This vehicle is fun to drive, fast, gas mileage within stated range and Impressive safety features. We added Leather and heated seats locally which gives the RAV a Lexus look for a Toyota price. Back seat has room for two adults with amazing back seat room. Seats are comfortable, ride is firm, the Limited may provide a softer ride with the 17 inch tires. We prefered the exterior and interior styling of the Sport over the Limited. I would have liked the Bluetooth JBL stereo system, power seats and the automatic air which are standard or common options on the Limited models. Overall the RAV V6 Sport is a great value and a great SUV.
A Rav4 Can't Start
I have owned many Toyota (4Runner, Camry) - this is the third one and the last one - quality control has been an issue for my Rav4. There were quite a lot squeeze noise on the plastic part in the interior even when it's brand new. Spent some time to fix them. Now second year - the vehicle won't be able to start every 5 to 7 days. It's not battery for sure. It could be security system, starter, spark -- dealers (yes, I tried two Toyota dealers) won't fix it because they can't duplicate the error so they can't fix it. Oh, by the way, the audio system display started to not show anything, or strange Japanese characters. If you press the panel really hard - it fixes the problem.
