Used 2003 Toyota RAV4 Consumer Reviews
REAR DOOR OUCH!!!
I bought this car for my wife overall it is a Toyota (excellent vehicles) however I have been very concerned about the rear door. I have small children and that door is an accident waiting to happen every parent should watch out. What is with the weight of that door? It is a mousetrap and I am concerned that children can be seriously hurt or injured by this poor design. I would keep the car if Toyota could come up with a fix but Im fearful that children have already been hurt by it. Watch it especially if you live in hilly terrain as we do!!
I love my Rav
I have owned 4 types of Toyota dating back to a 1994 Corona, a Tecel, 2 Camrys, now the Rav and I love it. I just wish it had a V6 engine. But, I can live with the 4.

OK, just OK
This is my wife's car and she loves it except for poor mileage (17mpg in town) and the noise. Good tires would help the noise and ride. Traction is excellent. Seats are good in front and marginal in back. The swing out tailgate with attached spare tire is awkward
Wow
This is my second RAV4 my first one is still kicking from 1997. I like the extra power this has over that one. The little quirks have been worked out and the car rides wonderfully. Small engine, 5 speed, L package is the way to go...
I FEEL SAFE
THIS IS MY FIRST TOYOTA PURCHASE. I AM VERY PLEASED. I FEEL SAFE. EVERYONE ON MY STREET ARE TOYOTA DRIVERS, I FINALLY BECAME ONE OF THE FAMILY. ITS A GREAT FEELING. I GET ALOT OF ATTENTION ON THE HIGHWAYS AND IVE HAD PEOPLE STOP ME IN PARKING LOTS TO LOOK AT MY VEHICLE. MY HUSBAND IS VERY PLEASED THAT I CHOOOSE THIS VEHICLE, HE EVEN ENJOYS DRIVING IT. VERY SMOOTH, COMFORTABLE AND ENJOYABLE. THANKS TOYOTA FOR SUCH A NICE VEHICLE.
