Love my Rav
I have owned 3 Toyotas, this being my first Rav. I love it. The ride is great, the dependability being a toyota was a major selling point. It is cute and sporty and is perfect for my family. I have a hitch in the back for a great bike rack. I would recommend it to anyone. I just wished the seats in the back could go back a bit farther for a little more leg room for the kids.
Nearly 25 trouble-free years
I paid $3200 (Cdn) cash on the hood for mine back in 2013. It's got a quarter-million on the clock and could be the last car I'll ever buy. No rattles or squeaks, headliner is still in place, it just works, day after day no matter how you neglect it. Any mechanic anywhere can fix a RAV with parts they have lying around the shop and a big hammer. But they don't break down often, and when there is a problem, you can usually still drive home. All I have replaced are consumables: tires, brake pads, exhaust, battery and on the RAV, a timing-belt water pump combo. When the belt snaps, a non-interference engine means you don't wreck anything, just glide quietly to a leaky stop, have it towed and replace that little devil for $500-$700. Maybe $1,000 a year in costs-that-are-not-gas. I live in BC, this will live on as a forest buggy, the guys with the serious 4WD rigs say with a set of proper tires and some air let out, you can go 95 per cent of the places they get to, just not as impressively. And in this age of computers, it has an OBDII reader and that's it. It doesn't know where I am and it doesn't care. Nobody wants to drive a snitch

Nearing 240K!!
Can't believe just how this 'toy' Sport Vehicle has held up thru the years. Got it as a demo model in 1999, and have pretty much only had basic regular service done. Really comfy and quiet, I still have to pinch myself sometimes since I can't believe I've been so lucky w/ this car. Recently, I got a 2004 Tacoma and passed the RAV onto my daughter. We're hoping it makes it to 300K!!
Great Car To Own
I love this car. Never had any problems with it. Would highly recommend it to anyone!
