Used 2004 Toyota Prius Consumer Reviews
great car-bad dealer
I found this car to be very easy to handle. I am short and the higher seat makes it easy to judge distance.
04 Prius-Great Car but could be Better
The 2004 Toyota Prius is a pleasure to drive, it turns heads & begs for people to ask questions & to look inside. But a few caveats. 1st-The cruise control is attached to the steering wheel (not the column). I can't find it when turning a corner. 2nd-We have both hit the drive control knob by accident and shifted into dynamic braking mode (doesn't hurt the car but I wonder about the car suddenly slowing while going 70 mph with a semi on your tail). 3rd - With light rain/Freezing temps, the gas access door froze shut & no way to easily open it. I hit the access door to free it then used a ball-point pen to wedge it open. It's not really winter yet!!!

this car is awesome! it's very cheap, and extremely nice
Luxury AND Economy!
After more than 6000 miles of interstate driving, I found this the most exciting and pleasurable car of the more than 20 (mostly Toyotas) I have owned. The only disappointment: mileage per gallon is only as good as my 2001 Prius which had 30,000 miles on it.
Incredible Car
After test driving the Prius, I realized that this was the car that I wanted. It's fun and inexpensive to drive. We drove it to Richmond from Charlotte and got 50+ miles/gallon and it handled beautifully. I have only owned it for three (3) weeks, but have found nothing about it that I don't like. Even my wife, who is has back problems, finds it comfortable. I hope Toyota or Lexus will put this engine into one of their SUV's soon. Thank you.
