After only one 1000 miles of use I have been in two major snow storms and have dirven seven hours in snow going to Killington. The car is great in snow but it does not replace all wheel drive. It had trouble going up the bear mountain access road because the road was not plowed. It is at least 10 times better in snow than the 1994 Honda Accord.

I had a difficult time obtaining one of these cars; there is about a 4 month waiting period here in upstate NY. I scoured all of upstate and got on several wait-lists until Kent Brown got a car and called me. Its very roomy and the only complaint I have is that it does not accelerate quickly from the start/ however once its going its great!! I am willing to overlook the lack of acceleration for fuel economy and therefore less dependence on foreign oil. Can't wait to see the Lexus SUV hybrids coming out next year.

We average between 45 and 50 mpgs. Great little car. Plenty of room inside for four adults. No complaints at all. Wife loves it also.

The first no-compromises hybrid car

The new Prius brings hybrid cars into the mainstream. Power now feels comparable to many sedans and it gets up to 60 mpg! It’s also much larger and more refined than the old model. It has remarkable space inside, with generous rear seat legroom and lots of luggage room with the new hatchback and fold-down rear seats (very Saab-like). I got mine fully loaded with SatNav system, Bluetooth, side curtain airbags, Smart Entry (*very* cool), and much more. All this for about $26,000 (base price is about $20,000). In summary, this is simply a great midsize car that happens to also be the greenest car on the planet. There are clearly no compromises in this hybrid.

This vehicle is the wave of the future. It is built solid, drives smoothly and I get outstanding mileage. I've never been happier with my purchase.
