When I totaled my Nissan Sentra back in 2001, my mom and step dad gave me his 94 Toyota Pickup. I was told that the truck was in excellent condition and shouldn't have any real problems with it. As always, my parents were right! Here it is 2011 and she is still kickin. No major issues. So far, have only had to replace the battery, starter and thermostat. Has had a small oil leak for several years (which has been unable to be pinpointed). Currently at 240,000 miles. Still averages 24/mpg. I love my little Yota!!!!!!

I bought this truck used two years ago. It has been very reliable--only problems were a broken starter, and a rear differential leak. Easy fixes, not too expensive. It is the 4-cyl. engine, so it isn't too peppy at higher speeds, but that's to be expected. Great torque at low speed. The clutch needs replacing but it's not the truck's fault-- the girl who owned it originally didn't know how to drive a stick very well. She was really hard on it.

I bought this truck because I will be moving some 70 miles away and have a lot of shop tools to move. Read that as many, many trips back and forth. I spent three and a half weeks searching for a well maintained Toyota basic truck. I was about to give up when I spotted an ad for this one. It's showing 186000 miles but it does not leak or burn oil. The A/C blows ice cold. The suspension is tight as is the steering. It gets excellent gas mileage. After driving it for two weeks I'm begining to fall in love with my little red truck. I'm an old hot rodder and never dreamed I would enjoy such a tiny truck but it it does what it is supposed to do and does it well. I'm just sorry I didn't buy one sooner.

This Truck was purchased right off the line from my Father-in-law in 1994. It was then passed down to my wife 7 years ago. Now i drive it as my main mode of transportation for 3 years now. This Truck is rode hard and put away wet. It outperformes every other car i have ever had (except my 2012 Corolla). It currently has just under 280,000 miles and shows no sign of slowing down. Still has every original part in it! Toyota made a really smart move with this truck. I plan on having this truck for another 100,000 miles. I'm sure it will make it there!

Purchased the truck new in 1994 for my daughter who was in high school. She drove it thru HS and college and then took it to Chicago for three years. It was returned to me after that time and my wife has driven it since then. It's been a very dependable vehicle - has never let us down. No major work done on the engine. Have it serviced regularly. Never need to add oil between services. Body has some dents and scratches but not too bad for a 12 year old truck. It does not have power steering so it takes awhile to get used to the steering. Great little truck!
