I bought this car used in 1999 with 92K miles on it. Two years later and it is still running as strong as ever. I drove a new one when this year first came out, but the time in my life was right. I bought this one thinking it would be my weekend car, but it turned out to be my primary car. I drive it almost a 100 miles a day and it has never let me down, is always a blast to drive, the sound system is great, the handling is awesome, Oh What a Feeling! Get one if you can!

Car is 10 years old, with over 136,000 miles. Runs better than any American made car brand new (sorry, I love the USA, but not our cars). I love Toyota's. I refuse to believe the rating given by B.R. These cars are mechanically amazing, and will last virtually forever if taken car of.

I wrote a review of this car 5 years ago, soon after it was purchased. I thought I'd follow up on that review. This MR2 was was purchased with 173K miles, and now has 235K Miles. In that time, I've only had it in the shop for tires. I've personally replaced the sparkplugs, battery, rear brakes and oil, and that's it. This dependable car has started right up every day without fail. Amazingly, this car seems to be worth just as much now as it was 5 years ago! So I'm pleased with the car, and its ability to retain value. All in all, this has been one of the most positive experiences I've had with a car. My plan is to drive it into the ground, and maybe buy another one.

Underrated car. Still looks great on the road, especially compared to more modern, bloated sports cars. Handles well. Comfortable. Good on gas. Great balance. T-tops are perfect for the beach weather.
