Used 2004 Toyota Highlander Consumer Reviews
Love this SUV! No Regrets!
Overall I love this SUV! I really did my research when deciding on what to buy. Pricing and reliabilty were big factors in my decision making. I was torn between the Honda Pilot or the Highlander, I'm glad I chose the Highlander. I've owned it for almost two years, and the only thing I would change is the rear window noise, EXTREMELY disturbing. I live in Chicago, and trust me winter driving can be a challenge, but this vehicle handled are winter storms w/no problems. You won't regret it.
Satisfied Owner
This vehicle has a very solid ride. I have owned three GM Blazers in the past and have never experienced the quality built into a vehicle such as the Highlander. I did own a 1995 Geo Prism for nine years and 77000 miles and never put a dime into it, that is what brought me to buying Toyota.

our first suv
We have had nothing but enjoyment with the suv the workmanship and quality are very good
Wife's choice
Very nice vehicle. Lexus quality; Toyota price. Smooth, quiet ride. 3rd row seating has already come in handy. 4 cylinder is a little sluggish, but not a problem. Gas mileage should be good for this medium sized SUV. We went from a 2000 Honda CRV, what a difference! The Toyota just feels more solid and gets better gas mileage, just no comparison between the two.
First Toyota SUV
My wife and I purchased our Highlander about a month ago. So far, we have no complaints at all. We both really enjoy driving the Highlander. My wife likes the fact that it doesn't feel like she is driving some big vehicle, like a lot of the other midsize SUV's we test drove. One thing I would definetly suggest, is to get some quotes from dealerships online. I got a quote from the dealership for the Highlander we purchased, and the salesman at the dealership was asking about $2500.00 more than what I was quoted online. We had fun with him for a while, till we brought out the quote we had received online. Doing your research and getting some quotes definetly helps.
Toyota Highlander -
It is dependable, roomy, has great seats that are wide especially if you had a complete hip replacement. Has great vision. Smooth riding like a luxury car instead of an SUV. Great in rain and wet roads. Handles with ease on the open road or on country area streets.
Perfect SUV
Excellent ride, save for everyone with side airbags.
Better than Expected
Have had this car for about a month now and I love it. Was driving a Volvo and got sick of the repair bills, so I'm looking forward to Toyota's famous reliability. The ride is exceptional and it handles far better than you would think a 5300 pound vehicle would.
Beware of the tires
Having never owned a Toyota we were expecting quality and refinement and the Highlander delivers. It replaced a 97 Volvo wagon and there is no comparision.
review rating
air leaks around window switches and map pockets, moon roof sw doesn't seem to function as discribed in owners manual. Trouble finding closed position. Steering tilt adjustment could be lower by 1 inch for long legs. Heater coil could be larger.
