I've driven a used 2007 FJ Cruiser and it just wasn't as tight as my FJ 2014. In both cases the ride was soft & comfortable. My 2014 softens bumps & potholes like a luxury SUV. My FJ has a very quiet ride and there isn't very much wind noise at 50, 60 or 80 miles per hour. There is very much a discernible engine sound when accelerating getting you in touch with the road. The interior is lavish by 4x4 standards with very comfortable seating. I am averaging over 19mpg and yes most often than not 20mpg+ real world consumer usage.

Read and listen to all the reviews. Watch the Videos and know this is the vehicle for You. I found it is Exactly what I wanted. I have had every kind of Auto. The FJ just keeps Me smiling for why I bought one. The list is long why I Love it. I would buy one 5 times more if I could live that long. I wouldn't take $ 5,000.00 more then I paid for it to let it go. You want an Off Road Go anywhere, 4 + passenger outdoor supply carrier, kayak hauler, camper puller, special looking vehicle ??? GET ONE FAST ! The prices are going up since there are no new ones being made. The longer I have it the more I like it. Just added fender flares and shade awning. She's a Keeper !!!

Best vehicle i have ever owned. Best of both worlds. I live in a remote area an do alot of driving an when the weather gets bad i need a suv that will preform safely for me an my family. This one is the best i have ever had. Drives great on road an will go where i need to go. I have owned alot of vehicles but nothing even compares to the fj. If you want a vehicle that will go like a jeep but last like no other buy a fj. Toyota made another great product with the fj. Too bad they dont sell them anymore in the us. I love it. An the aftermarket parts selection are unreal. You can make it customized to your liking in no time.

I bought my first FJ about 18 months ago from the original owner with 160k miles. I put about 15k on this past season. I run Michelan tires on it and it handles very well. I had to replace the alternator ($400) but other than that, just gas and a change of oil. The longevity of these SUVs is becoming epic. I have talked with owners with 300k+ miles and they just rave how little maintenance the machines require. The interior materials are sparten in some regards but superior for wear and tear.... They are simple, easy to drive, comfortable and pretty safe with all the air bags... These units do have blind spots but can be overcome with a little practice and a fish eye mirror on either side. I bought a '14 with 37k miles because these puppies are going up in value and I always keep my cars forever so I wanted to "reset" the odometer. Toyota upgraded the engine and transmission a couple of years back so now I will have a little extra "umph". The 07 doesn't have some of the upgrade tech that I have on my '14 like the rearview camera and bluetooth..., I have owned many vehicles, from my '86 four wheel drive Bronco, to a standard Ford pick up, to my all wheel drive GMC Denali with Quadrasteer. From a Lariat f350 dually with the 7.2 diesel, to 4x4 Rangers, not to mention Porsche, BMW, 65 and 67 mustangs and a 57 chevy hardtop (wish I still had the last 3)....This FJ may well be the best investment (which is an oxymoron) out of them all.
