2024 Toyota Corolla Consumer Reviews

Good value, but uncomfortable seats
Last car was Toyota built (Scion xA), and I loved it. My mechanic’s top pick brand was Toyota. So, I chose a Toyota Corolla LE. Sufficient technology, touchscreen options are easy to navigate. Nice features like auto setting for headlights. Lacks variable speeds for intermittent wipers, and I miss having a rear window wiper. Excellent visibility. Sound system is basic, no equalizer. Sufficient trunk space. CVT transmission shifts smoothly. The surprise, after my super comfortable Scion xA (which was that line’s least expensive car, and one of the least expensive cars on the market at the time), is that the seats are so uncomfortable. If you’re heavyweight, slump when you’re sitting, and sit with your back rounded, you’ll probably be perfectly happy. I’m light (130 lbs), sit with good posture, and there is zero lumbar support with these seats. After just a 30 minute drive, my back was aching and I had to go in search of a comfortable lumbar support cushion. Is it a great car? No. Is it a good value in today’s market? Yes.

Worst vehicle I have ever owned.
I purchased a new 2024 Corolla LE in July of 2024. Car had minor irritating things like body panels that weren’t completely flush together and rattle noises during accelerating. What really irritated me was having to bring it in at roughly 3,000 miles to have a faulty CV axle replaced. 3 out of the 4 windows were sloppy and loose in the track. (Only the driver side was tight) I changed the oil at half the recommended interval. So at 5,000 I changed it and caught a sample of it when I dropped the old oil is was so dark no light would pass through it. I’ve never had a new car or even used car have this dark of oil during a change. Supposedly the full synthetic should be good for 10k but I have to question that. Seats in the car are very uncomfortable for trips longer than an hour. The engine made weird sounds that I was not use to hearing on a previous 2022 Corolla I owned. (Traded the 22 when the transmission started leaking and hesitating during highway driving almost like pulsing and that was at 6k) I really thought I just got a lemon on the 2022 so foolishly I bought a 2024. The transmission is very sluggish and noisy on the 2024. Ended up trading the 2024 Corolla for a completely different make. Honestly I doubt I will ever buy another Toyota.

Great little car!
We decided not to get another small SUV and went with this Corolla Le with the convenience package so we could have push button start, blind spot, alloy wheels and a few other conveniences. Drive is nice and smooth. Perfect since 80 percent of my driving is solo and running errands…this really is a perfect supplement to our family. All 4 fit and easy to drive. Safe and great on gas. We had a small SUV but in 99% of time I’m not driving in snow or hauling stuff so truly this is the best bang for my buck at this time and makes the most sense. Paid MSRP and so far pleased with the simplicity, safety and gas mileage of this car. Great for the teens to drive as well. This car should last forever with Toyota reliability and safety.

bad computer
I bought a new Corrolla Hybrid, January 2023, Had computer issues rite away! Would shut down and say"Computer stopped check manual" I went through the Lemon Law and lost, because the Toyota expert said that the car was working as desighned! The Lemon Law lady only knew how to turn on a car so she ruled in Toyota's favor! I was'nt going to live with a car with computer problems so I traded it and $2k for a gas Corrolla! In the first rain storm, the car encountered, the computer would shut off and say "system stopped" every 5 seconds! While not working neither the cruise control nor the lane departure would work! Toyota builds a CRAP TRAP!
