This car jumps
Quick and dependable, Ive driven this car alot of miles (53,500) and in most if not all driving situations. The performance is what sold me the car in the first place. Its cornering is superb, with a little bit of a loose feel when you get towards 'the edge'. It can punch a hole through freeway packs with great accelaration from 60-90, nimble and precise steering, and small footprint. Had a couple 18-hour stints in the seat, and stayed comfortable. As far as dependability, though, Ive done little more than change the oil every 3 or 4k miles, and it still hums and drives like new.
Sporty Economy Car
2000 GTS-Auto - this car should NEVER have an automatic, extra weight and 4 gears combined with a very low torque equal a poor accelertor. 0-60 in 10.2 seconds, not as quick as a loaner Echo I had (9.8 sec). Very reliable, 25 mpg (60% highway) - unfortunately premium fuel. This car needs something to improve low end torque and should drop the automatic. The auto provides no benefit, except to wives that won't drive manual - E-shift is a stupid gimmick. The 6K rpm valve lift change over too close to the 7800 red line. It's the only thing providing a brief hint of acceleration. Road Noise is high (improved slightly by changing tire bran

2000 Toyota Celica GTS
Great vehicle. Never have any problems and is a really sporty fun car to drive.
Best car I've ever owned!
I've had my 2000 celica since 2006 when I bought it used and it has been amazing. I have had almost no problems with it even though I bought the car with 80,000 miles. Only thing that has happened is the distributor went out at about 100,000 mi, and one of my CV joints went out at the same time( which I highly recommend fixing as soon as it goes out, the car used to turn on its own with the broken one) Besides that though nothing seem to be going wrong my check engine light is one at 150,000 but still runs as smooth and powerful as the day I got it.(most likely O2 sensors)
my celica
i enjoy driving it. one down fall to the car that i have found is the blind spots, due to small windows and side mirrors. the only other down fall to the car is the limited leg room for the backseat. besides that this is an excellent car.
