Awesome car! Needs minor improvements
What an awesome car! If I get to decide again, will buy the exact same car! Own since 03/2000. Regularly receive lots of compliments. No major problems. Handling, performance, reliability and looks cant be beaten.
This car jumps
Quick and dependable, Ive driven this car alot of miles (53,500) and in most if not all driving situations. The performance is what sold me the car in the first place. Its cornering is superb, with a little bit of a loose feel when you get towards 'the edge'. It can punch a hole through freeway packs with great accelaration from 60-90, nimble and precise steering, and small footprint. Had a couple 18-hour stints in the seat, and stayed comfortable. As far as dependability, though, Ive done little more than change the oil every 3 or 4k miles, and it still hums and drives like new.

My 5th Celica
This is my 5th Celica. I've had a 78, 83, 86, 90 and bought this one brand new. My first new car. Have had no problems with it, with the exception of a head light burned out at 500 miles (under warranty) and the driver side window came off track at 1500 miles (also under warranty). I would recommend a toyota to anybody, just this car is not for all. It is on the small side and low to the ground and can become a problem getting in and out of it. Also the factory tires are junk and wore out (I don't get on the car) and had to be replaced at 32,000 miles.
hell yeah!
I love this car and I'm so glad I bought it. Its affordable and stylish, way beyond the hondas you see around every corner. Although, due to a misshift (not mine) at redline I had severe problems including 4 bent valves, costing about $1,200. Something this car is notorious for. Never overrev while going forward. Never let your b/f drive your car! Lil boys shouldn't play with womens toys! hahaha
Elle OnWheels
The thing burns through the oil. If you don't supplement it, immediately it wears down the seals and eventually will blow your engine. The thing burns through tires like crazy too. My engine has blown..but I'm not opposed to trying again with another. I'll just be extra careful about the oil! Also, don't try putting anyone above or below the age of 8 in the back seat. Carseats don't fit well and neither do legs.
