Extremely unhappy Camry owner

The transmission has slow response time and when slowing and gearing down the car actually lunges, the vehicle has long braking time and is very unresponsive until pedal is pressed nearly to floor and road handling and tire grip is poor. Steering wheel position is high and seats are not deep enough for comfortable ride. Lumbar on passenger seat is uncomfortable. Window and rear door posts make side viewing difficult because of width. Trunk and gas door latches are difficult to access when seat is forward for person of shorter stature. Cruise control lever and buttons are awkward and not user friendly. Center console height is too low for comfortable elbow rest during long drives.

I was recently in an accident on the hwy where I hit another car broadside. This car did everything it was designed to do. It crumpled in the front end, the hood buckled up and the engine did not come in on me. All four doors opened (I wish I could show you pictures), and let both my passenger and I out. I could kiss the man who sold me this car! I owned this car for three wonderful years and did ZERO REPAIRS. It had 150k and drove like it was new. Quiet, smooth, strong, reliable and SAFE!! Buy this car with confidence.

I had a 2003 Camry that my mother bought brand new. I'm upset, I totalled the car on ice. It had 95,000 miles on it. I got it with 30,000 miles on it. I never fixed a thing. I so hoped to take it to 200,000 miles.

Bad experience, not what they were

I expected a solid car that would get me around town. What I got is a car that barely gets me around town. The car is a clunker in all honesty. I have 51,000 miles and I've been to the repair shop quite a bit. My transmission went out. My intake manifold cracked and had to be replaced. I have been through 2 sets of brakes and my steering wheel is all over the road. My tires are new.

Great deal for a great car from dealer in central NJ. Quiet ride even at highway speed, wonderful JBL audio w/6 disc changer, comfortable leather seats. Wood trim on dash, leather wrapped steering wheel, leather seats w/heated front seats, power driver/pass. seats. Power Moonroof, ABS, largest trunk in its class (all mid-size sedans incl. luxury).
