Used 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid Consumer Reviews
Gave up my Lexus for TCH
I gave up my IS 300 which was only getting 24 mpg and required super unleaded gas for the TCH which has averaged +/-40 mpg and takes regular gas. That and the fact this is more of a family car makes the daily 90 mile commute (Playa del Rey to Irvine) somewhat bearable. I went with the base model in magnetic grey because no dealer (went to 4 and contacted 10) had the set up I wanted (grey & leather). No complaints so far. Only quirk I noticed was the low gas light came on and the cruise range stated 29 miles, but when I filled the tank, it only took 14.5 gallons. I guess the car is very conservative about running out of gas. Probably could've waited another 100 miles.
First Hybrid
Only have had the car a week now but so far its been great. Averaging 38.5 mpg so far - no problem areas either. Electronics are fun but will take a while to figure out. The blue tooth phone setup was a snap and my razr v3 connected with no issues.

My Camie
The Camry Hybrid is still amazing me. Today I was able to pin the trip computer at 40 mpg on a 5 mile trip. I was able to coast and pulse for about 4 minutes. Still on my first tank with 400 miles and a 1/4 tank left. The computer says I have 105 miles to empty. The JBL stereo is great. It can hold my hold music library of 1200 mp3's on 6 cds. I'm good for 60 hour road trip. I like the high drivers seating position. It's so quiet its freaky. I had to make a quick T entrance on to a 2 lane country road and was surprise with the acceleration. All-in all I couldn't be more pleased.
engineering marvel
The first thousand miles have been positive. Drives well, about 40 mpg, quiet, adequate power for any situation, engineering is a marvel, and the most important feature, it is a small contribution to solving our global warming problems. Only the ideologically moribund can deny it is happening, and it seems to me that each of us must do what we can to reduce our carbon use and carbon dioxide residues.
Best Car I've Ever Owned!!!
I am totally impressed with the Camry Hybrid. It's smooth, very quiet, has plenty of pick up when you need it, and achieves excellent gas mileage. I have all the extras, including navigation. The electronics are easy to use and very well organized. This is a machine that I plan on keeping for a long time. With about 3000 miles on it so far, I'm averaging about 41 mpg!!
