2026 Tesla Model Y Consumer Reviews

Best car I’ve ever owned!
I absolutely love the tesla model Y. For the first time, I stayed with the same model back to back and upgraded. The tech, safety, convenience are unmatched. It has features that simply don’t exist on other vehicles like a dash cam and sentry recording. It receives software upgrades that regularly add new features. Quality has been great on the two I’ve owned- no significant issues. Instant acceleration and speed are also great and make the car fun to drive.

Liked the car but it had a fatal flaw
This new Y dual motor was the 3rd Tesla in the family. Obviously, I knew and liked the brand. HOWEVER, this one had "new type" but faulty exterior camers which intermittently shut down. When that happened, the dash screen went blank and it was impossible to see behind the car. Forget about backing up unless you want to risk a collision or hitting a pedestrian. Tesla's service (euphemism) did not distinguish itself by, first, insisting I simply drive the car as is till they could engineer a fix by way of "update." When I refused, they--eventually--bought it back.

Second model Y
This is my second model Y after 20 years of Volvos. I am not a car person. Driving a Tesla has changed how I drive and how I think about driving. The 2025 Y has a faster processor than my 2023 Y. This time I leased as technology is changing too fast. Also a lease of $300 a month is an amazing deal for such an all around fun car to drive. Only detractor is the firm drive.

love it
Our first electric car and my wife and I LOVE everything about it. It took 2 days to feel like we could never go back to gas powered car or SUV. It the difference between using a dial up phone and cell phone. It helps that we are both mid 70s and still embrace new technology. Welcome to the future.

Love this new update!
I was gas all the way until I drove a 2023 model y. I decided to check out the new 2026 and this was an absolute stunner! The handling is amazing and the ride is incredibly comfortable, with the 19” wheels and the updated suspension. It soaks up bumps with ease and I’m loving all the technology with the touchscreen. Definitely a learning curve coming from a 2016 Nissan maxima, which I loved. Totally digging the Frunk as I now use that as my main storage and it’s great if you have takeout and want to keep the smell out of the cabin. Range is awesome and I’m super excited everytime I get behind the wheel of this thing. Tesla did it right! Will update in a couple months with any changes.
