Cheap build for a 100k car. Parts glued with tapes
Received my car 4 days before the end of the year and boy, this feels like a lemon already. As soon as i got it, i was hearing metal scratching noises when I turn the steering wheel. Spend next 2 weeks trying to fix it with service. After the second visit, they managed to fix that issue. Right after that I noticed some trims are missing on the door. See left over double sided tapes where the trims supposed to be there. Scheduled another service call, which i had to for another 2 weeks and they got the wrong part and no tools. Rescheduled again for another attempt after 2 weeks. There are more problems with the functionality and listing them here would take forever. In short, the cars are made cheap and their service team is overwhelmed. Instead of paying more to Elon, they should spend more to improve quality and ensure better service. Imo

Still the benchmark
While the competition from BMW, Audi and Mercedes is catching-up to the Model X, and probably surpassing it in some areas (like fit & finish), the Model X still sets the standard for a full-size electric SUV. 330+ mile range is excellent and the tech works very well. Interior is more spartan than luxurious, but has a nice airy feel and definitely a notch above the Model 3/Y. Ride & handling is good (especially with the air suspension), but not quite as plush as the Mercedes EQE or composed as the BMW iX. Features like the falcon-wing doors may seem gimmicky, but help set it apart along with self-driving. Performance of the Plaid in particular is simply astounding, and a bargain for what you get!

SUV that easily outruns performance sedans
For Apple music subscribers, Apple music has been integrated into Tesla Entertainment system. Model X acceleration is furiously responsive with good handling, feel much faster than my model 3 rear-wheel drive. The interior has useful wireless chargers, simplistic elegant design look, and comfortable seats. However, I wish Tesla added ambient light around the dashboard like 2024 model 3. It is interesting that the interior is very roomy inside, but the exterior does not even look big, great design work. Model X is great for driving long distance as it runs so smooth, quiet, spacious, and comfortable. I absolutely has no maintenance issue with my 2018 model 3, and I hope (cross my finger) my model X to be nearly as good (I heard some horror story from some reviewer). I did not even consider buying model X's competitors such as BMW/Mercedez/Hyundai because of the look; their exterior design is clumsy, not stylish and refined as Tesla cars. I know ... beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Tesla has drastically dropped the price of this vehicle since the end of 2023 to compete with other luxury vehicle brands EV, so I think it is a very good buy now if you consider Tesla.

Worst car I've ever owned and a total money pit!
Tesla is going to go out of business if they don't get the service figured out. The cars are completely unreliable, I've had mine in the service center 7 times in the last 18 months. The way they run the Tesla business is innovative and different but not in a good way. You can't talk to anyone, you think your car is going to be at service for maybe a day for them to have it sit around for sometimes over a week with no explanation. The X has a design flaw where the tires tow in because all the weight of the batteries and car that it wears the tires on the inside causing you to have to replace tires about every 10k miles.
