2024 Subaru Outback SUV Consumer Reviews

Luxury Ride at a Good Price
I chose the Outback because I needed some utility, but still wanted a car platform. I purchased the top model (Touring XT) for a price less than any other comparable SUV out there. The ride is what really sold me. It is very comfortable and soaks up bumps like a large luxury sedan. There is some minor wind noise at highway speeds. The interior is also top notch with quality materials throughout. I had been driving a 2011 Subaru Legacy (base model) which served me well (210,000 miles) and is now being used by my son. However, it lacked power so I wanted the turbo. What a difference! It drives effortlessly. There are plenty of other creature comforts you get with the Touring XT model that are well the money. My main concerns with the vehicle and relatively minor. First, it lacks storage space for small items up front. There really in no place to put items other than under the arm rest or the side door pockets. I miss the storage compartment I had in the center of my Legacy which is now occupied by a large touch screen and wireless charger. Which leads me to two other complaints. The infotainment system lags at times, is slow to start up, and the built-in navigation system rarely gets the voice command correct. Lucky I can use Apple Carplay. Likewise, the wireless charger simply does not work. No matter what you do, it takes an eternity to charge your phone and frequently shuts off because it gets too hot. I now use it for the minimal storage it provides and charge my phone using the port. The last nuisance is the auto stop-start system which jolts harshly each time it engages. You can shut it off, but you have to remember to do so each time you start the car.

Terrible drivers seat
Handles well, drivers seat has power everything but comfort. 150lb driver and built for 300. Assistance driving pulls you into the sides of trucks, scary. Bought for the open road, does a poor job, will trade it in after 300 miles driving. Handles well in city traffic but the lag time is terrible.

Yes! A fast, functional Subaru
We have the 2024 Onyx XT (Turbo) Outback. It has all the things that make Subarus great cars that last a long time. But the 2.4 liter 260 horsepower turbo adds an element of fun and performance that I did not expect. Zowie! Another element that favorably impressed me: Handling and steering. Way more tight and precise than I expected. Mix that with the all-wheel drive and the turbo power and you can have a darn good time on twisty roads. Despite its power and sporty handling, we’ve also been pleased with its fuel economy. Both city and highway. Our dealer is also great. 👍

Be Amazed....test drive the 2024 Subaru Outback Li
If you haven't test driven a Subaru Outback ...plan to be thoroughly satisfied with comfort and convenience....The 2024 model has such a refined drive for a vehicle in the suv category. The leather seating is very comfortable and completely adjustable. HEATED front and rear seats keeps everyone happy. Great visibility and all the latest Safety features 👌. If you need cargo space ...just fold down the rear seats...the radio sounds great as well.

Thirsty and noisy
Have had the car for a year now, never seen it go over 20 mph even with no traffic highway driving. At six months it started to have intermittent rattling on the driver's side door. Service at Subaru Pacific Hathorne, CA has deteriorated as well. This is my 2nd Subaru and will likely be the last.
