The ride is comfortable and controls are convenient to use. I have the Limited; if I knew how sluggish it was going to feel, I would have opted for the XT. But, no matter how much I like this vehicle, I would not have purchased it based on the poor visibility the headlights give. These are the most unsafe headlights I ever drove with. Dealer said they were fine. Before buying, test drive this vehicle on a country road, in the dark.

City mileage less than 15 mpg (drive speed limit, no excessive acceleration, no long periods of idling) I’m trying to decide what to name my new 2024 Outback. Under carriage is rusting causing stains on the garage floor Poor customer service from dealer (Great Lakes Subaru Findlay OH) and company.

I bought this car, brand new, in early November. For the first month I drove on a highway only: work commute 40 miles each way, Western PA. My MPG was 23.7. And then the last few weeks was city driving with MPG 22.7. I was told this is "normal" and expected MPG. Seriously? The advertised MPG for this model is 26 city and 32 highway. I would not have bought this car. With other cars we had over the years, all six of them (Mazda and Honda), the MPG advertised had matched what we got in our own fuel economy. I had no reason not to believe that Subaru would provide numbers that don't match reality. False advertisement. Another problem: the radio turns on by itself randomly, literally every time I drive the car.

This is my second Subaru. There is a lot I like about my 2024 Touring XT, but the backup camera was incorrectly installed at the factory and is useless for tight parking spots or street parking. C'mon Subaru, a good design is being ruined by bad quality control at the factory. Customer support is minimal. UPDATE: Love the car but the navigation is terrible, I now rely on Android Auto after 1 address not found, one direction home that was going to add 27 miles to my trip when I just needed to stay on the route I was on, and one, "No route possible," when I redirected to use the route I was already on that I knew from experience would take me home quickly. I have the most recent map updates and the speed limits shown on navigation are also incorrect.

At 4000 miles we took the car back for repairs. The lane departure feature only works occasionally. The engine runs rough at idle, so much that the whole car shakes. Also and, the engine makes a rattling noise. The touch screen has a mind of its own. The miles to empty function is erratic. Do yourself a favor and don't buy a Subaru.
