The Legacy is the best Sedan out there. Great MPG, eats snow up, and go off road, through mud, anything the height can handle... The CVT is good and delivers good shifts and MPG. Car looks good and you can feel the road. I had a camry and Altima lease and they are boring and poor performance and heavy feel. The Legacy feels great when you go AWD wheel drive... My Brother got an outback and its fantastic. Subarus are a 1500, to 2500 more then the others but you get a diffrent car. Boxter engine AWD, handling... Vs. In line transverse 4 banger like all the rest... MPG is 25.5 for me but when I drive conservatively you can get 28 city and up to 33 hwy for AWD... Safety small overlap test...

Love my new (used) Subaru!

This is my third Subaru in the last 30 years (two of them used). When I was looking at this car I also test-drove 3 used Subaru Legacies. The others were a year newer with fewer miles but the rides were poor. The pickup on this car is fine. I love the CVT. I am so happy with the paddle-shifting! It is wonderful for complete control in snow, and uphill and downhill! I have only had the car for 3 months (Oct-Jan).. The things I don't like are: Takes a long time to warm up. I don't like the trunk-closer "handle" hole - it's not sturdy and can't close the trunk - you have to push down on the dirty trunk cover after all. I am very short, and the headrest on the driver's seat was almost a deal-breaker for me, but I've gotten used to having NO real neck support as my head goes into the big hole before the very high headrest pushes forward (who likes to have THAT?). Lots of cars have that now. Also the paint seems to be a joke. I noticed immediately that I should keep my keys away when going to the door, or I'll add to the many scratches! The trunk is ENORMOUS and I can't believe it can hold more than my old wagon's trunk. This car has nice amenities! I love the winter package. Everyone else is scraping their cars and I sit in there and wait for it to do itself! But I wish it had fog lights! They told me those would be $500 to add. But this one's trim level is MUCH nicer than the cars with fog lights (lower models). Both of the other cars I test drove had better brakes. I love that the hood goes up by itself when you unlatch it; no stick to have to push up high to hold a HEAVY hood up (Getting harder for a short, older woman)! Also I think it's silly that the inside light goes on SLOWLY when you open the door! But I am mostly totally delighted with my "new" car!

Having driven other brands such as Toyota, Honda and Mitsubishi. I switched to Subaru Legacy because I heard that they were solid cars! I have no regrets! The handling is superb, very stable at high speeds and certainly fun to drive. I had a 2007 Subaru legacy and upgraded to a 2013 Subaru touring Legacy which was a sweet buy. 2013 Subaru is certainly better at gas mileage as compared to the 2007. The latter year is roomier and of course the SI drive is great. I am yet to explore the sport plus mode! Go get your Subaru legacy you wont regret owning one. I live in Jamaica and the roads are bad here and all my Subarus that I have owned have been with me for 5 years and more with little front end work. Still going on in 2022. My only drawback is the CVT.. Solenoid at times fails and then they rather you buy an expensive valve body!!

I chose this car because when I bought it I lived in a city with harsh winters and I needed a reliable, AWD option. I researched for over a year and decided to go with the Legacy over an SUV because of the gas mileage and the reliability of the Subaru name. The size of the cabin is great, and I can fit 4 large adults in here comfortably. The biggest problem I have had with this car is the gas mileage. At this point, I have driven it 4200 miles and have had an oil change and am still not getting above 21.9 miles to the gallon. I drive the freeway to work everyday and should be getting at least 28 combined. Even on a highway trip of 1200 miles, the best mileage I got was 29 MPG.

I've had this vehicle for about a month, scoring on excellent president day sales. My first Subaru. Very solid feel to this car. Engine/CVT still breaking in but performing nicely. Excellent gas mileage-up to 33MPG highway. Combined around 27mpg. Handles well on dry and wet pavements even with the crappy Bridgestone tires it came with. Haven't driven in the snow yet, but I expect it will really shine then. The ride is firm but a bit choppy. Road noise is present but well within acceptable limits. The driver's seat and position is stellar, as is the visability. The "upgraded" six speaker stereo is fair at best. Overall, a reliable car that does most everything well with AWD standard!
