Used 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i PZEV 4dr SUV AWD (2.5L 4cyl CVT) Consumer Reviews
nice car
This has been a good trouble free car with only one maintenance issue. The front end required realignment and the adjustment threads were already close to maxed out from the factory , but the alignment was accomplished with no other problems (this is not covered under warranty) I traded the car after 57000 miles because we wanted a car with more safety features. Our Forrester did not have Eyesight, our mistake. The biggest gripe I have with the car is the speedometer is almost impossible to read in bright sunlight. Subaru advertises guaranteed trade in value, but when it was time to trade, other dealers offered more trade in and were more inclined to come down further from MSRP.

2015 Subaru Forester-good handling bad ac
I like the way the forester rides and handles. The awd is great in the rain. I got it for that and the safety rating. But the interior materials are not great. Several of the plastic pieces on the dash are fading or peeling. I have 64,000 miles and already on the 3rd set of tires. Not sure what that is from the geolanders it came with barely made it to 20k. Also air conditioning seems to have issues. It never blows as cold or not cold at all as my Honda or Jeep did. Dealer doesn’t seem to know either. Not pleased about the additional maintenance this needs either. 2019 definitely looks more promising with more features.

Malfunctioning air conditioner
I purchased a 2015 Subaru Forester SUV from a Subaru dealer in my neighborhood. I did know that the air conditioner was not working properly and was told it will be repaired. Not the case. I went on a 250 mile round trip and the air conditioner worked intermittently to now it wouldn’t work at all. I had wanted the dealer to replace the air conditioner but they refused. Said they added air conditioner fluid and it is working fine. I did buy an extended warranty that will cover the problem. I am unhappy that the dealer lied to me. They did not want to spend the money to fix it before they sold it. They will have the warranty take care of it. This car was purchased as a Subaru certified preowned Subaru by the way. I will be taking the car back to the dealership this week to have it serviced. I did have the dealership void the $100 service fee for three months. I hope the air conditioner is replaced and no further problems. Other than that, I like the vehicle.
