Used 2021 Subaru Crosstrek SUV Consumer Reviews
Transmission Failed
Owned my new Crosstrek 2.5 Sport Model for 2100 miles and transmission has failed. Car started lurching and you could feel CVT chain not engaging properly. Problems start to happen after driving for an hour or more once transmission warms up. Subaru dealer has no ordered new transmission. This is a big fail as Subaru has knowingly sold these vehicles with faulty transmissions that carried over from Ascent and Forrester and Outback. Otherwise no other issues, but my confidence in the brand as a first time owner is shaken.

Excellent Value & Best AWD System
We've had our 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Sport for a week now. What a great little crossover! Comfortable, spunky, very capable off-road, tons of cargo space with the back seats folded down, great tech, and compelling styling combine to make a tremendous value. I got $2,800 off the sticker price and 1.9% APR financing. No brainer purchase. My wife loves it and it will be her daily driver. Looking forward to taking it on road trips. If you are looking for a small crossover with solid road manners and the ability to handle some light to moderate off-road work, then be sure to add this one to your test-drive list.

Rating based on an accident experienced
My car was parked on the street between a 2021 Ram Cargo van (a really large commercial vehicle), and a small Toyota Matrix. In the midst of a police pursuit (I live in Los Angeles), a police car crashed into the van in front of me, destroying it completely and breaking its two front tires, causing it to crash *onto* my car, which made my car crash into the Toyota behind me. LET ME TELL YOU, for the severity of the accident, my car, while it sustained front and back end damage, could have been ***so much worse. *** Any other car of its size would have ended up like an accordion, but even the coffee in my cup holder didn’t spill which amazes me. I am posting this review as a testament to the fantastic framrwork of Subaru, specifically my 2021 Subaru Crosstrek.

Amazing value
In contrast to other reviews we have the base convenience model with eyesight. The smaller engine provided more than enough power for every day driving. This vehicle impresses for the price offering a unique look, a stellar AWD system and excellent quality. Depending on how it holds out long term wouldn’t be surprised if we remain loyal to Subaru.
