I am 19 yrs old and I have just bought my new Scion XB and i fell in love with it! It has all the options such as the interior lighting iunthe cupholders and under dash etc. I went on a few roadtrips to California from Illinois and i barely had any power especially going uphill. B esides that the SCion was definetly a great buy for me.

I had researched the Scion line, and was already impressed by the features for the money. I had originally intended to buy an xA. A quick drive in the xB and I knew that was the Scion to own. As a previous Toyota owner I was already sold on quality and reliability. My xB is amazingly fun to drive.

A lot of people tease about the shape of the Xb but after all the kidding is done all agree that it is the roomiest car they have ever seen. I have been averaging 29 MPG day to day driving and I have gotten as high as 39 MPG on the road but 34 - 35 MPG is the norm. The versatility of the car is great. I have carried 4 passengers comfortably and have been able to carry doors and lots of STUFF in it. The Xb is the greatest small car I have ever owned. The only car I hold in higher regard is my 1967 Mustang.

It looks good. The performance is so good. If you really want to buy tC that kind of sports car, choose another brand, because that is just look like sports car, but the material isn't at a sports car's level.

We first saw this odd looking car in Time Magazine when they did an issue on design. Reading that it was associated with Toyota, we did more research and slowly fell in love with the car. We and our 18 year old son talked about getting it and soon my son was putting together his car on the Scion Website. We ended up getting the first one from the Scion Dealer on the first day of sales on the East Coast. We loved the looks we got when driving around. People staring and I actually had a guy infront of me get out of his car at a stoplight to ask me what it was and how much it cost. We love the space inside, the ride, and the design of the dash.

My XB is fun to drive. Has lots of room for my big body. It gets very good mileage and the best part is that it is Orange. The only let down is it doesn't handle good in high cross winds.

We bought this car after my wife's New Beetle turned into rolling lemon. Aside from the great style points this car has, I was able to research the reliabilty of the car that it shares the drive train (engine, transmission and differential) with: the Toyota Echo. Consumer Reports give the Echo very, very good reliability ratings.

Solid car with lots of room

Just bought this car used. It's very solid and basic, much like the imports of the 70s and 80s. For a car with such little power, it's surprisingly fun to drive. The interior room is simply amazing. It's like a theater with 6 screens. The car seems to grow magically when you get in. I always tell friends that it's bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. Driving position is comfortable but you have to get used to the position of the gauges. The engine is peppy and fun to rev on city streets but merging on the interstate can be a challenge. This is allot of car for the money. I've found that it's several thousand less than a comparable Honda Element, Fit, or Toyota Matrix.

Since 1996 went from Town Car to Lex LS400 to Prius. This is one terrific little package that sacrifices nothing. We call it the box car. Can't believe that a package this small on the outside can have so many feaures in and out, not the least of which is the look. It turns heads everywhere we go! We miss a speed control, may add one, but overall this is one of the best buys today, any where. I am disappointed so far with gas mileage, but car is new, hope it will improve, but was really spoiled by the Prius. I'm a good American, but there is no way anyone so far can innovate the car market like Toyota. Also own a GMC 3500 Pickup, it's going bye bye, too!

A lot of car for the money! ABS, stability, traction control, power everything and a great gas milage. Turns heads and very roomy. Couple drawbacks - a rather too stiff suspension, makes a bumpy ride on a bad road. It also has small luggage space unless you fold the rear seats. Otherwise a great car!

Owning a Scion is like being in a car commercial! People stop me all of the time to ask about the car and I am always happy to tell them that it is a fantastic ride. The car is great on mileage, is the most comfortable car I have ever driven, and roomy to boot! Of course, the price was perfect as well. I really feel that I got the best car for my money, espeically afterspending a few months searching on the Net and at the dealers. Finally, it may not look like it, but it is a Toyota, through and through. I feel very safe and that it is relaible.

My commute is about 100 miles a day. I love this little bugger. It handles well in all types of weather. The fuel economy is excellent. Matter of fact it just does what it is supposed to do day after day. Don't overlook the standard electronic stability control. While not sexy it just might save your life. My experience has led me to buy a second xB.

to say that a vehicle that is cheap can be functional it's usually some sort of marketing scheme, but after almost 10 months and almost 17,000 miles later I can attest that the vehicle is anything but a scam. This vehicle has everything that an expensive car should (abs, traction control, keyless entry, toyoguard)and yet is sold at an affordable price, and also it's fun to drive, a very comfortable vehicle for long or short trips and the fact that people look at this car (is a hate or love it desing) I have had a lot of positive reactions to the car, so I recomend you go to your nearest toyota dealership and like myself start your own great Xb experience.

The Scion xB a great vehicle to own it's so roomy, love the style. Drives great! Somewhat afraid of how low it is, thinking I might run over an object and damage the side fenders or low front fender. This is my third new car and this was the best of all. Because it was a car of my choice not the salesman based on what I qualified for. But based on what I like. Classy little car, kids love it and people stare at it. Thanks.

I know from reading the reviews that this car/mini-van thingy, was to be marketed to the younger generation, but Mom's are digging it too! I am a 30 something Mom of 2 and I LOVE my Scion XB! This is the most fun to drive car I have had since my 89' Mustang GT convertible which by the way needed new tires by the 2nd month. Really, I enjoy the room, the style and the looks and comments I get on the car. I am a "driving advertisment" for the company , I am stopped constantly and asked about it, "What is it?", "Do you like it?" "How much is it?" Love to answer since I love my car. The interior room is awesome, The system "ROCKS"!!! I have it in FEEL mode

This car adds a new dimension to my world. I havn't felt this good since my antique Mercedes. When you take to the streets you are admired and interviewed by strangers and believe it or not challanged to drag, even with the sofisticated aura. The roomy interior is best for driving children long distances, carting your computer here and there, styling your honey, profiling every tach unit. I'm looking forward to climbing in the back with a blanket and bottle of champagne.

Wife and I are 67 and both love the car. It has more headroom than my F150, rides as well and gets better economy. I would like to see arm rests between the seats and some way to stop the seat belt latch from banging the door frame when it is released. We just completed a 4000 mile trip with no problems and a lot of pointing and questions from people who had nevewr seen one before.

I test drove all of the current compact vehicles in 2005, and this was by far the best value, the most fun, best looking and by far the roomiest. We drive it exclusively around town with our 3 kids. We even took it on an overnight trip with the kids--had plenty of room for a large suitcase, overnight bag, small cooler and the kids' DVD players. It handles well in Iowa winters with it's traction control. We were lucky to snag one only a few months old, and it's still worth close to what we paid for it 2 1/2 years ago. Love it!

People constantly stop to ask me about my xB-- "it is just so cute!!" and "Cool! A box car!" Averages 35 MPG city and 40 MPG highway. Feels like a mid- size car with the pluses of an economy car (easy to paralell park!). Fun and my pre-teen loves the stares he gets from the girls while he blasts the radio on "feel" setting.

I just bought this car on July 21st, 2005 and all I can say a very incrediable car so far. I had a 2003 Dodge Durango SXT an awesome SUV in its own right. With the high fuel prices in California I had to go with another way. I chose the Scion xB because in 1989 I bought a 4x4 Toyota and loved it knowing Toyota makes an excellent product. The gas milage on this xB is unreal and the power is great for 110 horses. In the near future I plan to add I cold air intake and a cat back muffler system to help the performance also. I might possibly make this a show car as well. My ending remarks at being a 50 year old male you can't go wrong with this sporty car from Toyota / Scion.

When I first saw the Scion xB in a magazine they were not available in my area. I was the first one locally to order one. I got mine mostly because its boxy design was perfect for hauling my dogs around - 2 Intermediate sized Vari Kennels will fit side by side in the back with the seats folded down and another will fit sideways behind the front seats. That is unusual in a car this size. Tons of cargo space. I get stopped by people all the time asking about this car.

Its also great on long trips with that excellent gas mileage. The five speed manual helps that 108 hp. I recommend it if your thinking of purchasing. The stereo is somewhat tricky with all the options but onceyou learn it,its pretty good. I particularly like the non cluttered dash. It's very sporty and stylish. Also your rear windows open fully something certain cars do not do because of their position under a wheel well. Don't take my word for it but test drive one and

i love it (and so does my mother who a month after i bought mine went and got a red one with an auto,) but i wish that it was geared a little differently or had a six speed. highway crusing with a 4000-5000 rpm whine frome the engine at 80 gets a little annoying when traveling long distances, plus the lack of arm rests on the front seats takes a while to get used to and need to be installed from the factory although it would take away from the side bolster which is very supportive to a big guy like me.

It's a fun vehicle and everyone on the road seems to enjoy just looking at it. I have had many compliments about it and lots of questions. I'm just glad I was one of the first to get one. Now while feeling confident is great, you also save a lot of money in gas. Great for long trips, I've explored Florida's east and west coast in my new car.

Pretty clever thinking regarding interior space efficiency ... larger folks in the backseat will thank you ... I've always liked boxy cars ... It's trippy and funny and fun ... I way like it though I do have one problem which goes as follows: I wanted something very good on gas; I wanted something practical that would hold up ... with such low horsepower, I thought getting a cold air intake would give the transmission better life over the years ... it was supose to marginally increase horsepower and (I thought) not hurt gas mileage ... It did make the XB more peppy, but I'm only getting 26 mpg ... Toyota doesn't seem to have much info on this though ...

With the gas prices on the rise, I quickly got tired of spending so much $$ on gas.. As I was researching used cars with good gas economy, I had found 2 cars that I liked. After doing more research on the Xb and finding out this model was first sold in Japan in 2000, it became a popular car. Saw all the great reviews and finally went for the plunge. The unorthodox design of the car reminds me of the compacts you would normally see in Japan. I test drove both auto and manual and was surprised that this compact had decent power. The manual transmission which has a high gear ratio which helps tremendously for acceleration. I ended up picking up a nice used one from a local Toyota dealer.

Apparently the xB is being marketed to buyers younger than my wife and myself, but we fell in love with its utility, price, standard features and ABS, so even though we have a daughter old enough to drive one, we bought it for ourselves. Have had it for about 2 months and continue to love it. Interior room is the signature of this car, but its standard features (including ABS) are a real plus, especially for the $14,100 price we paid in NJ. Gripes? The interior lighting could be better and brighter, and the ride could be smoother, but these are minor complaints. Though our suburban nieghbors have yet to adjust to seeing the xB in our driveway, we look out now and then just to admire it.

I am a 35 year old and I can't say enough about my new Scion Xb. Great styling, great features, great value, and unlike most cars you purchase and then just drive, after you purchase your Xb you will feel compelled to pimp it anyway you want with all the after market accessories available directly from Scion. Save a couple hundred dollars and get the European style taillights, save another couple hundred more and get the fog lamps. There are so many options to choose from and the listed price of each includes installation at the nearest Scion dealership. So, instead of watching MTV's Pimp My Ride, now you have an affordable and fun way of pimping your own. Best of all, my kids love it!

Wife has said she feels like she's riding first class in front passenger seat. SOOOO much room for small car. I've certainly driven faster cars, but who the heck ACTUALLY uses the big engine cars? Had a Celica- got several tickets. Plenty of people ask about it. I can't stop showing the inside to people to show how much room their is. Averaging 30-31 mpg in first 3000 miles. Plus it's Toyota reliabilty. Overall, best value you can find.

I've had my Scion Xb for a year now and still love it. I can pack it with people or things and get wonderful gas mileage (a real + these days!). We've used it to carry everything from a full-sized door to enough Christmas packages and food for a large family. It's not the fastest car on the highway, but goes more than fast enough for me to travel comfortably ( and affordably) on the Interstate in the fast lane.

We purchased this car primarily for a light weight vehicle to tow behind a motor home. Blue OX makes an excellent base plate for the Scion. We like it so much we have found we drive it all the time and let our other vehicles sit in the garage. Great little car!
