Loved the look of this car when we 1st started seeing it driving around our town in the summer of 04...My wife said it was Ugly and would never consider buying such a car. As the months went on and my old Honda Wagovan became more decepite(Ran great-the little things started going, like AC,Radio, ability to rool down drivers side window,ect...) Anyway she began researching ScionXB's and came around to sharing my opinion- especialy since all the reviews were so good...Well now after driving it around for 5 months she loves how it looks and handles and we have come to describe it as "Very European Looking"...

absolutey the best car i ever owned!! The gas mileage alone is a good reason to buy this car, but you also get a cute stylish sporty car to boot. Ive noticed alot of people turning their heads to check it out. The price tag cant be beat for a 2005 with all the room the you get. I didnt think when I looked at it from the outside that it would be very roomy, but once you get inside its great. I have two kids and their very comfortable.

The automatic transmission has a button on the shift for the overdrive. When driving my leg sometimes hits the button and shifts the transmission out of overdrive. At 70 mph it is a little bit surprising for me and tach.

I knew I wanted a Scion Xb before I ever saw or drove one! The design is the coolest; sort of a cross between a Mini Cooper and a Hummer! The handling is great. Its get up and go is very good for such a small engine. The head and leg room are phenomenal (it's bigger on the inside than it is on the outside!) The cargo space has not been a problem. It's not a luxury car, but you have to drive it!

This the second mini for us, the first was a 1963 Austin Mini. It is the only car we found that we could get in and out of without hurting our backs. It handles like the sports wagon it is. With a cold air intake system installed it performs much better and the mileage appears to be better than advertized. A Hotchkiss stabilizer bar made cornering even better and a better sense of stability. We immediately added Alloy wheels and find them a welcome addition, the brakes and lights are exceptional. We belong to the Sr. age and find others our age realizing the benefits of the way it is designed, needless to say we are looking forward to great experiances with this our own utility sports car

I just got my XB on Saturday. It rides more smooth then my previous SUV.(Jeep) The noise on the freeway is so quiet. The gas, well that is just one of several perks, it LASTS! I can't even begin to say how much I enjoy this joyride. Every day is adventure!

A lot of car for the money! ABS, stability, traction control, power everything and a great gas milage. Turns heads and very roomy. Couple drawbacks - a rather too stiff suspension, makes a bumpy ride on a bad road. It also has small luggage space unless you fold the rear seats. Otherwise a great car!

The Toyota Scion is the best kept secret. From the outside the vehicle looks small but in the inside it has a lot of room. Unique dashboard great stereo system. Traction control, abs, airbags, power windows, seats are removable or can bend for more room. All this and it did not break the bank!

Just for fun I opened the back door of the limited edition yellow XB at the Denver car show and got in. Then just for fun I went to test drive one at my local Toyota dealership. You can only imagine the look on the sales guy's face when I told him I wanted to trade in my fully loaded less then one year old Infinity FX35! I was so impressed with the XB's looks, handling, gas mileage and its "dress up" possibilities that I bought two of them that day. Yup, thats right two. We are a two XB family. I bought the black one for myself and the white for my son. When they are parked side by side in the drive, we are the most popular house on the block. Why should Gen. Y have all the fun by themselves?

Find a dealer that wants your buisiness and not just a sale. I will never deal with Toyota of Walnut Creek California again. I plan on purchasing another Xb in the near future.

The Scion xB was a perfect car to follow my minivan, smaller but still with lots of space! It has versitility with its interior configurations, it has LOTS of ways to customize it, it can be spiffed up well. We have found it to be an incredible car in the snow and ice, it goes just about anywhere. It is tiny as all get- out outside and can park in small spots, yet it has an amazing amount of space inside, especially in the backseat and headroom. We get pretty good mileage, certainly better than most other cars, about 28 mpg - 36 mpg depending on the drive. Its pickup is understandably not like a V8, but it holds its own. It handles well, has a good braking system and is comfortable on long or short trips.

I am absolutely in LOVE with this car. I find myself making excuses to drive it. I still find myself looking back and smiling at my black box as I am walking away from it. It is fun to drive and with my extremely enthusiastic driving style, I still get about 28-30 MPG with mostly highway driving. The stock Pioneer sound system is awesome. Also, the huge side mirrors make changing lanes easy. The interior is extremely spacious and airy, so much so that I feel slightly claustrophobic when I get in normal cars. My only major gripe with this car is the small fuel tank. I find myself visiting the gas station 2x a week when with my prior car ('97 Honda Accord) once was plenty.

I have had my xB for several years now. I got my car with alloy wheels, arm rest and cruise control installed. I consistently get 30mpg in either city or highway. I still love the looks of it, I replaced the grill with billet aluminum and the rear lights with LEDs after I got rearended once (new tailgate as well). The car is reliable as can be (it's a Toyota afterall). Even after the new (ugly) xB's came out I still get comments on how cool (or ugly) my car is. If I had the means, I would get another, but with a manual transmission. I have had to have 2 large chips filled in from errant rocks at about $20 each.

My commute is about 100 miles a day. I love this little bugger. It handles well in all types of weather. The fuel economy is excellent. Matter of fact it just does what it is supposed to do day after day. Don't overlook the standard electronic stability control. While not sexy it just might save your life. My experience has led me to buy a second xB.

Looking for an appropriate vehicle in which to drive clients around, I stumbled upon the Scion. Intending to buy a Lincoln or other luxury sedan for space and comfort, I inexplicably fell in love with this weird-looking vehicle with its unique dashboard. At first I kicked myself for what seemed to have been an impulse purchase...a nostalgic regression to my youth- addled tastes in the 60's, when I drove a "psychedelic" VW microbus. But The Scion xB turned out to be an excellent choice. My clients love it, and it's an instant conversation piece that quickly breaks the ice. Even my tallest passengers are comfortable with its ample leg and head room, front and back. And what fun to drive!

Got the box less than a month ago. Traded the Cadillac for this fun economical vehicle. Gas mileage is great, comfort is surprisingly good. The body style is love or hate-I love it. Took it in the curves and it did remarkably well and had the power ratio to climb the hills. Put on the low profile tires and wheels which made a huge difference in it's look. The people at Maita were very accomodating. Had the lights put in under the dash which makes one feel young when driving. I like it more everytime I drive it. I would recommend the car to any age group, not just the young. The more goodies you put on to make it unique-the better.

Toyota hit the mark. If it wasn't a Toyota, I wouldn't have bought it. Interior is perfect for a starting family. My 8-month pregnant wife, my 3 year old, and myself (6'4") can easily go for a comfortable ride. Great commuter car. First mileage was 39 MGP. Others may be heavy on the pedal. HP is sufficient for this type of car. I've been looking for a year for a 2nd car and once I saw this car I put my money down. Much better legroom than TDI Jetta Wagon (poor VW rep/service/quality/JD Power/pricey). Not the premium $$$ and uncertainty of a hybrid. It can carry my kayak. Not a Focus wagon (too many recalls) I'm an auto engineer from Detroit.

I couldn't be more pleased with my car, it was most everything I was looking for. I'm 6'6", and this car had the leg room and head room I was looking for, the low cost, good gas mileage, extended warrenty, and that "turns heads" factor that I've come to enjoy. I was looking for a simple comfortable car that I could drive for many years and still haul some friends around in, and this car fits the bill perfectly. I've had the car a short while, but I'm betting on toyota's typical high quality and low frequency of repairs. As long as this car doesn't break down often I will be very pleased for years to come.

The xB is an excellent commuter vehicle for anyone who needs to drive a long distance each day. It is well designed, fun to drive, and relatively comfortable. The price point is excellent for toyota quality. Bear in mind that this is a very basic vehicle, and it will not beat anyone off the line. However, it is fun to drive, and comes with some excellent standard features like ABS and keyless entry, to name a few. Everyone has reacted positively to the unique design, once they see it up close, they really like it. I love this car!!, highly recommended for the daily commuter, no matter how old or young you are.

to say that a vehicle that is cheap can be functional it's usually some sort of marketing scheme, but after almost 10 months and almost 17,000 miles later I can attest that the vehicle is anything but a scam. This vehicle has everything that an expensive car should (abs, traction control, keyless entry, toyoguard)and yet is sold at an affordable price, and also it's fun to drive, a very comfortable vehicle for long or short trips and the fact that people look at this car (is a hate or love it desing) I have had a lot of positive reactions to the car, so I recomend you go to your nearest toyota dealership and like myself start your own great Xb experience.

I test drove all of the current compact vehicles in 2005, and this was by far the best value, the most fun, best looking and by far the roomiest. We drive it exclusively around town with our 3 kids. We even took it on an overnight trip with the kids--had plenty of room for a large suitcase, overnight bag, small cooler and the kids' DVD players. It handles well in Iowa winters with it's traction control. We were lucky to snag one only a few months old, and it's still worth close to what we paid for it 2 1/2 years ago. Love it!

Feels like a mid- size car with the pluses of an economy car (easy to paralell park!). Fun and my pre-teen loves the stares he gets from the girls while he blasts the radio on "feel" setting.

I just bought this car on July 21st, 2005 and all I can say a very incrediable car so far. I had a 2003 Dodge Durango SXT an awesome SUV in its own right. With the high fuel prices in California I had to go with another way. I chose the Scion xB because in 1989 I bought a 4x4 Toyota and loved it knowing Toyota makes an excellent product. The gas milage on this xB is unreal and the power is great for 110 horses. In the near future I plan to add I cold air intake and a cat back muffler system to help the performance also. I might possibly make this a show car as well. My ending remarks at being a 50 year old male you can't go wrong with this sporty car from Toyota / Scion.

i love it (and so does my mother who a month after i bought mine went and got a red one with an auto,) but i wish that it was geared a little differently or had a six speed. highway crusing with a 4000-5000 rpm whine frome the engine at 80 gets a little annoying when traveling long distances, plus the lack of arm rests on the front seats takes a while to get used to and need to be installed from the factory although it would take away from the side bolster which is very supportive to a big guy like me.
