Used 2006 Saturn VUE 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl 5A) Consumer Reviews
Trading it in Tomorrow Just 3000 miles
The last time I bought an American made car was in 1986. At that time I swore I would never buy one again due to the lack of quality craftmanship. And I made it twenty years until I saw the 2006 Saturn VUE. Love is blind! This vehicle, although it gives a comfortable ride, when it goes over a bump you get the feeling something is going to fall off, the dashboard is constantly creaking, and the road and wind noise are horrific. I brought it back to the dealer and was told that the road noise was pretty much a characteristic of the VUE. You can't use OnStar while the car is moving no one can hear you over the road noise. And oh, the gas mileage is awful.
Reliable and inexpensive
Vehicle was purchased new. AWD has been very beneficial due to living in a hilly area prone to ice. Have had no mechanical issues (only oil changes and routine maintenance so far). XM radio and MP3 compatible disc player is great for long trips. While not a sports car, it has good acceleration. Would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a crossover SUV.

From A Woman's Point of Vue:
I loved my Vue since the day I drove it.I do agree about the noise level -it's a little loud from inside the car. Could be better. Seats are heated so I don't think they can get softer. Gas mileage is great. Better than my Tahoe was. Don't think it handles that great in snow,I was more confident with the Tahoe. But its a nice drive with Excellent Pick-up for the hi-way. Tires & brakes wore out faster than I think they should.(30,000 mi)Otherwise, I think I will keep it for awhile longer. It looks so nice clean too. And it's easy to clean. The seats all fold down and I've carried lots in it, and the dog loves the back too. Thanks Saturn. Keep up the good work. A fussy woman driver.
Saturn VUE 2005
So far, So Good. Big selling point is the HONDA V6 250hp ENGINE. the VUE AWD has some get up and go performance, handles well. Good 360 view. Recommend for the road warrior who wants to appeal to the soccer moms. However, big caveat is the poor gas mileage. So far under 20mpg combined city/hwy, sticker rated at 22-28mpg. Guess those 250 horses gotta eat! pay for the optional sound system, the standard radio/speaker combo is oh-hum at best.
Best in Class
I never expected to be a VUE owner, but after test driving many competitors, the VUE AWD version was the best. The AWD with roof rails and chrome package looks great. The Honda engine has great acceleration. Handling and suspension is also on par with competitors. Interior is attractive and seating is roomy and comfortable. Make sure you test drive, this is best alternative for a street driving SUV. Beats Equinox,Santa Fe, Escape,& Liberty "hands down".
