Used 2006 Saturn VUE Base Consumer Reviews
Best in Class
I never expected to be a VUE owner, but after test driving many competitors, the VUE AWD version was the best. The AWD with roof rails and chrome package looks great. The Honda engine has great acceleration. Handling and suspension is also on par with competitors. Interior is attractive and seating is roomy and comfortable. Make sure you test drive, this is best alternative for a street driving SUV. Beats Equinox,Santa Fe, Escape,& Liberty "hands down".
Safety first! To the uninformed...
Saturn VUE's have a 5 star front and side impact rating. This is due to the side polymer body panels 'plastic' as some would say. Behind it is a steel space frame that protects you AND saves you money. I got broadsided by a large truck, I'm not talking a pickup truck, but a delivery truck. To my disbelief the damage was minimal. A simple matter of replacing the panels on the passenger side was much nicer to my pocket then replacing all doors and fender. Drop out engine is a plus. Drives beautifully and I love it. Someone else said they hope they dont get hit by a VW, but I say bring it on VW, and large delivery trucks, too! I feel safe as can be.

The perfect ten
It handles really well, has a lot of room, and the performance is something to experience. I do a lot of highway driving and the gas mileage is great. For getting on main roads off of ramps it has a lot of get up and go.
Fun to drive
You got to love this new VUE. It's like a rocket compared to others in its class. Love the new look on the outside. The inside looks OK, compared to the '05 VUE
So far so good.
Made a Vegas run in it already. Handled great. Plenty of power on the hills. Mileage is doing good, around 26 but we have less than 2,000. Will see when the engine is broken in more.
