Used 2006 Saturn VUE Base Consumer Reviews
Beyond Expectations
We purchased a Saturn VUE in December of 2005 and have driven it about 1500 miles. It has been exciting to drive with the Honda V-6 engine and is very comfortable for a 250# man to drive and sit for long periods of time. The mileage is amazing, it gets 22 mpg in town and about 28mpg on the road at 65 miles per hour with the cruise control on. The back seats are a little tricky to put up and down, you have to be a little patient with the back seat lever. One great little add is the Organizer that pops up to form two plastic bins to put your groceries into. We love this SUV and it suits our lifestyle to a tee. We owned a bigger Ford SUV for 10 years and we like this one better.
My First SUV
I Love Saturn, I've owned two lux sedans and one ION, this is my first VUE. It feels good and safe to sit up high, but I also feel very cramped. I just don't have any leg room to feel comfortable. It moves out quickly when you need the power and has good breaking traction. I'm still trying to get use to the quick response with the steering wheel. It moves to quick for me, more like a sports car should. I like it but I wouldn't buy it again. I stick with Saturn, but the VUE was not my cup of tea.

My Saturn
My Saturn has been wonderful. I've had no problems with her and love the sound of the V-6 Honda engine. I'd never driven a SUV before, but found the handling not much different than driving my car. Of course, you have to adjust it's center of gravity being a bit different than a car, but it didn't take long at all. The only complaint is the touchup paint. A lot of construction going on in this area with dumptrucks on the road, flying stones. The matched color touchup paint does not match very well.
Saturns Rule!
This is my 3rd new Saturn, and I have loved everyone of them! No major problems, just routine maintanance on them, even on my first Saturn('94 SW1) which I owned for over 8 years. I needed more room than my '02 SC1 had to offer due to changes in my life, so this '06 VUE was perfect. Roomy without being too big, and providing decent gas mileage. Very comfortable to drive and great power!
VUE for you
I have just purchased my VUE and so far I am very pleased with it. It is the perfect vehicle for a family with small children. The 250hp engine and the storage bin organizer located in the rear are two great features of this vehicle. OnStar is available on all GM vehicles but it optional. On the VUE it is standard. Gas mileage is great. There are a lot of accessories and packages to choose from. I test drove the Pontiac Torrent, Ford Escape and the Chevrolet Equinox. The Saturn won hands down because of its safety rating and price. Looking for a family oriented vehicle along with safety, value and affordability then the Vue is for you.
