Used 2004 Saturn VUE Base Consumer Reviews
Happy so far
Just bought a new VUE for my wife a week ago. I looked for a used lexus rx300 for six months but could not find the right one at the right price. Only have 200 miles on it so far but all is good. Very solid and quite capable in our latest Michigan snow storm. Smooth ride and no rattles yet. The Vue is not as well appointed as the lexus but it was under $26,000 out the door and the 2001 RX300's were around $28,000 with 40-50 thousand miles on them. The 3.5L honda motor is SMOOTH. With 70 more horsepower than last year this is a true 7 second second cute-ute. I would have bought the redline but my wife didn't like the stiffer ride.
Outstanding
We bought this Vue used w/12,000 miles on ot. It was an executives car. It's made three trips to the southeast from Iowa and never a single problem. We did replace the mud tires with street tires in 06. Being retired we average about 8,000 per year So far we haven't spent a dime on repairs outside normal maintenance. I used Mobil 1 oil and filter exclusively and put a K&N air filter on it. Oil changes once per year. Never burns a drop of oil. My only complaint is that it is noisy inside but we've learned to live with it.

Saturn Vue 2003 AWD V6
Fun vehicle to drive and Saturn has an excellent customer service. Great deal for the money!
Vue of the service bay
My wife and I had repeated problems with the optional dealer installed DVD entertainment system. The front Bumper bar lost its plastic cover due to poor design. The seat fabric on the passenger seat came unstitched where the bottom cushion meets the frame near the seatback. Otherwise, a very good and durable vehicle. Performance with the V-6 and all wheel drive system was somewhat better than I had expected with decent gas mileage as well. I would recomend this vehicle to you with the following advice. Do not order the DVD system, The front bumper bar or the running boards.
vue...its getting there!
having owned a jeep grand cherokee & mazda tribute i rank the vue in the middle with the jeep on top
