Used 2002 Saturn S-Series Sedan Consumer Reviews
great going
I have driven my Saturn all over Texas and it has proven to be a first-rate car. It is not very fancy, but it has stood up to 115 degree heat( with the AC on) traffic jams, mountain passes, blinding rain and wind and a good sized hail storm. My Saturn still looks and drives as good as it did the day I drove it off the lot. By the way, great sales and efficient service come with this car. Great fuel economy too.
Saturn S-Series
The first day I bought it, it started giving me problems. Lots of little electronic and mechanical problems. It is overpriced when it comes to overall performance.
boring car
I bought SL2 automatic. Big mistake. It has no 'pick up', it takes eons for it to accelerate. It is a boring car to drive, especially on the long road trips (no cruise control). Plain Jane, and not that cheap either...
An affordable safe car
I have had this car for about 3 months and its great!! I love the service and the fact it's economical on gas. I feel safer having my baby in this car than any other one. Great safety features and warranty.
Timex watch of cars
I have the SL base model. The seats are thin providing more head room. That's good because I'm 6'4", but my wife complains because she is 5'1". She has an SC with plusher seats that sit her up higher, but I can't drive it. Mileage on the road is 40 mpg at 70 mph. Not a single mechanical issue in 75000 miles. I bought it for the mileage and for comuting to work. With the price of gas I can no longer drive my pickup to dog trials so I often show up in my Saturn. I have put as many as 1000 miles in a 24 hour period. It is not extremely comfortable inside, but it's OK. I really miss not having cruise control on those long trips. Cruise control was not available on the SL.
