Mileage plus
I bought this car new, with 20 miles new, and now 8 years later, with 245000 it is still going, (weaker, a little slower, more worn) but going. I have done a few things mechanically like the Fan Motor, Heater core, 1 Rocker Arm, but over all this car has been the best for dependability. If you don't mind a small car and small car ride. This is cheap.
Most faithful little ride ever!
Bought this car used in 1996 (nearly 13 years ago)with 18,000 miles on it. It is easily the most dependable car I have ever owned. Replaced catalytic converter and alternator only once, no other major issues with regular maintenance done. Automatic transmission has been flawless ever since, and the engine is still smooth and strong as ever. It is just a great, practical car. Seeing many of these still on the road in 2009 is a testament to it's reliability.
Good car
This was my first car and i think it was definately worth what i paid for it. The only problem i had with it is the clutch went out and it used alot of oil. Good car for a good price.
Super car
This has been a great car particularly for city driving. Good mileage even with all the short trips. Drove to Springhill 2 times for reunions with very good experience. Only repair of any size was a recent tuneup and new head gasket ( ca. 50,000 mi.) Other wise only oil change - doesn't use any! Fun to drive. Love the plastic side panels.
It might not dent but it cracks
I purchased a used 1994 SC2 w/ 60k for $7500. Within 2 months I needed a new transmission. Five months later the car was nearly totalled by a minivan but repaired. After that the car was nothing but trouble. It finaly died when the timing chain blew a hole in the head. The only saving grace of the car was it was a blast to drive.
