Used 2002 Saturn L-Series Sedan Consumer Reviews
Dependable commuter
I bought this car with 20K on it three years ago, and it's held up well since. It's a great commuter car -- sharp handling for those sudden lane changes, ABS and traction control for inclement conditions, good fuel economy, and it's always started, even leaving work on cold winter nights. Under the remainder of 3yr/36k warranty, I had them fix a cracked rear reflector, adjust door, and quiet a loud rattle (for which they installed additional insulation near the side airbag on passenger side). OEM Firestones are junk. They cupped easily and I believe this contributed to my sole accident, in which I lost traction in the snow. No major repairs yet at 57K, so it's been a great value to me.
Great Car, Not so great paint
I like the performance of the V6, the standard options and even the extras that I thought I would not want (fog lights, sunroof and spoiler). This is the first car I have owned with any of these options. I absolutely love the heated seats. The milage is actually better than I expected (26 mpg average - it went up after the break-in period). The down side is that there is not much room in the back for my 2 medium sized dogs (or people). The paint on the hood was chipped after the first week. I hope they will take care of this as I plan to go to the dealer next week.

A very good care at a great price
An excellent bargain for the price.
Designed for those who enjoy driving
This is an outstanding vehicle for someone who wants a stylish, reliable car that they can use as a daily driver but also enjoy. The combination of the engine, tranny and suspension make this car a blast to drive. Standard traction control and ABS will help keep the contents of your vehicle safe. Plenty of trunk space. Great fuel mileage for the performance that you get.
Love our Saturns
OK, so we're hooked on Saturns....there are three in our driveway. We bought our '02 in June, mainly on the strength of our daughter's experience with her '93 SL2 and oh, the zero percent financing didn't hurt. We have not been disappointed in the least. More than enough power for a 4 cyl/automatic. It packs a lot of features for the money, much more than Honda/Toyota. A month later, daughter bought a used '01 LS200. No problems so far with any of the LS 200's. My one complaint is with the driver's seat. We have the leather package with lumbar support and my lumbar does not get supported! Wife loves the seat, so go figure.
