Used 2000 Saturn L-Series Sedan Consumer Reviews
Watch out
When I bought this car I thought it was an unbelievable deal. The price was great but the cheap price will begin to show with time. You'll see things go bad on this car that last the lifetime of most others. If you don't mind having many little problems with a car this car is alright. The ride, comfort and room are excellent and the engine ran well but noisey.
Awesome!
I purchased this car in April of 2008 for 3,000. As a single parent, I needed the most for my buck and that is what I have had. My car currently has 248,00 miles on it. It has never been in the shop for anything other than maintenance and my brother has been able to do that...brakes, change the oil and tires. There is absolutely no reason why this car should be running. I did not have the money so the oil was not changed regularly. Since purchasing this car, I have made many trips across NY state. I am currently looking for another car not because this one is not dependable but because the engine light came on. I am so hesitant to purchase another car, this car has been amazing!
It doesn't get much better!
In this highly competative class I chose the LS1 over the others (Camary, Accord...) because of what you get for the buck and the amount of fun it is to drive. I have the 2.2l 4 cyl. 5 speed and it's great!! Lots of pep, drives like a sport sedan - no mushy suspension to wallo. I worked for a Toyota dealership for 3 years and still bought the LS1. They were pissed, oh well, I love to drive and this is a car that loves to be driven !!
Early glitches but OK from then on.
My Saturn was a former car rental, with several things wrong when I bought it: bad taillight assembly, leaking air conditioner, defunct cruise control. It had 15 K on it. When I took it to Saturn dealership they refused to acknowledge anything was wrong with the cruise control and I went back and forth 9 times before I called customer service in Tenn. and they replaced it immediately. After 107,000 K my only complaint is the broken sun visor and seat compartment lid. Saturn wants $58 each to replace, not including labor! I have never been informed of recalls. CD is broken and it locks you out sometimes.
I love my Saturn
Best car I've ever had. No problems.-
