Used 2003 Saturn ION 2 4dr Sedan (2.2L 4cyl 5A) Consumer Reviews
About Hyundai
We went to the Hyundai dealer and it was the worst eperience ever. They were the agressive old fashioned sales guys. They wanted us to sign a paper before we even had decided if we wanted the car. Also they wanted to charge us $225.- processing fees, Saturn charges $85.-. Also I would like to know where I can buy a Elantra with moonroof, leather and ABS for less then what we paid for the ION. We love the way it drives, chairs are comfortable, a lot better then the Ford Escort and the trunk is huge.
A real LEMON!
Poor acceleration, terrible shifting, very uncomfortable seating, drinks gas like water.
A perfect first time car buy
The Saturn Ion is a great car for someone just starting out. It has great get up and go power (for a domestic) Personally, I was very skeptical about buying a Saturn over a Toyota, but when it came down to it Saturn was willing to bend over backwards to give me what I wanted in a car. It's a nice stylish build, smooth ride and all the service can not be beat.
awful first experience
when we bought the vehicle, it had to go back into the shop for: 4 new windows (due to the glass was scratched by the window tracks), defects in paint, interior dash was rattling, brakes were wobbleing (due to the rotors and brakes were out of surface tolerence), steering was shaky when driving at high speed. These problems were due because of the factory.
Great, Modern Car
The ION is an excellent example of a modern ecomomy car. It has lots of power for a four-banger, the interior is surprisingly roomy, there are plenty of nice options, and everything seems to be of good quality. When driving it, you'd think you were driving a small V6, not a four. With the DOHC engine and 16-valves, along with more than enough horsepower, my ION gets off stoplights quicker than most of my friends' V6 equipped cars. With the independent suspension, it rides and corners nice. Overall rating-9.
