Used 2003 Saturn ION Sedan Consumer Reviews
What a great car!
I think this car is highly underrated. We had a bad experience with a previous Saturn, but the ION has been a godsend. Very reliable, very sporty, very fun to drive! The battery in the trunk is unique and very convenient for my needs.
About Hyundai
We went to the Hyundai dealer and it was the worst eperience ever. They were the agressive old fashioned sales guys. They wanted us to sign a paper before we even had decided if we wanted the car. Also they wanted to charge us $225.- processing fees, Saturn charges $85.-. Also I would like to know where I can buy a Elantra with moonroof, leather and ABS for less then what we paid for the ION. We love the way it drives, chairs are comfortable, a lot better then the Ford Escort and the trunk is huge.
My New Car
I just got my new car on Tuesday, and I just love it. GM sent me a letter saying that I could use my GM dollars towards a Saturn, and if I used them by December 31st, they would double them. Wow, that is $ 1,600.00 off my car. Thanks GM.
Saturn does NOT deliver
I had FOUR rentals in two months due to problems. I called Saturn several times and spoke to several people. Their response was, and I quote: "We're sorry, but your warranty doesn't cover inconvenience." Nice, huh. The car has a LOT of interior noise: rattles, squeaks, clicks, you name it. It doesn't handle well when turning either, partly because the steering wheel is stiff, but also because it doesn't hug the road. And, you might want to consider getting some extra padding in your seat because it's a bumpy ride. Overall, the car is okay to drive and looks nice, but prepare for many trips to the dealer...and a lot of hot air from the Saturn Corporation.
2nd Saturn
We bought an Ion to replace our 1993 SL1 that had 156K miles. We test drove the Ion and immediately fell in love. It was the only car we test drove.
