Used 1995 Plymouth Voyager Consumer Reviews
Overall a good family van!
We bought this van 4 years ago -- it was 4 years old with 40K miles. We've put 50K miles on it. It's a great family car capable of hauling lots of stuff. We remove the seats to haul furniture, wood, big boxes, etc. We have the 3.3L engine and we tow a trailer behind our van. We do wear out tires rather quickly. Since we've owned it, the dealership has replaced the air conditioning system, the two power motors which control the rear window vents and the windshield wiper motor gears. No transmission problems though!
A joy and a pain.
Had many problems with the a.c. until last year when a body shop finally got it fixed. Even though the a.c. isn't ice cold, it does the job. Our problems now include bad brakes, faulty suspension, and queaky shocks. Our van has been a great cruiser.Got almost 26 mpg while going threw Alabama. Its engine keeps up a steady pace and only when really put to the test does it remind us that it's only 170 hp. We hope to keep it around for a little while longer. Unless the problems increase.
Great mini van
I used to drive 12-15000 mi/year, but got sick in 1999 and now only drive 3- 4000 mi/year. Car always goes and requires little maintenance.
Viva Plymouth!
We bought this van in '97 with 60,000 miles. It proved to be the best vehicle purchase we've made. The short vans seem to drive, handle and accelerate better than the "grand" vans, and the performance of the 3.0 litre engine coupled with the 3-speed is very good. We did have to rebuild the transmission at 108,000K but we shoped around and found a shop to do it for $900. The vehicle now has 175,000K and still runs strong even though it burns oil. Next mini-van? No thanks, I think I'll stick a rebuilt engine and tranny in this one. Viva Plymouth!
Not much here.
Not a real relible van at all it's engine starts making sounds at abuot 25,000 miles and transmision goes out at 100,000.
