It was a keeper
Fell in love by the time I pulled out on the test drive that lasted less than 3 minutes. Fantastic in the rain and floods we have here. Too bad I could only get 3 tanks of gas into it before I was broadsided and totaled. He hit me doing over 60mph. Thought I was going over, but the stability controls and such kept me pointed and landed safe and sound. RECOMMEND the side air bags. It was the one option I didn't care about and turned out it saved me from major injury. Next one will be yellow so even another "vision impaired" driver can see me. Just waiting for Farmers to get me a check.
Great Surprise!!!!!!!!!
I went in to look at the 350z and drove off with the X. I was so impressed with the horsepower, the interior comfort and the look. I bought the 6 speed which is amazing for gas mileage. Living in Florida I opted not to purchase the Off Road 4x4, instead the Utility Pack which included Stability Control and ABLS. This is my first SUV. I dont think I will ever purchase a car again.

2005 Xterra is Awesome
I purchased my Xterra in April. I have about 8,000 miles on it and it is excellent. It is the best vehicle I have owned to date. Fun to drive, smartly designed and runs like a charm. Has good power and everything I could ask for. Would recommend to anyone.
Terrible Drive
This car is a wreck waiting to happen. Maybe it's just my Xterra, but the steering is jumpy, it doesn't hold it's line in Hi-way driving and be careful if you think about taking it off-road. I've taken mine several times into the hills and mud of North Carolina and if you take a bump or a rut too hard the jolt the car gives you can easily put you in the passenger seat. My 1993 Jeep Cherokee handled the terrain with ease...even though I am going to get destroyed on my trade in....this car is going back and I'm buying something else. Good Luck
Traded in after numerous repairs
Absolutely loved my Xterra, kept it maintained and planned to keep it a very long time. Then the problems started after I hit 60,000 miles. Fuel sensor, several batteries, belts (that had screeched since 1 year old and dealer couldn't figure out), then the tensioners, timing chain. After that $1,000+ repair, saw online all the radiator leaks into the transmission being reported and decided to cut my losses and traded it in. Received notification of an extended warranty on the radiator/tranny failure to 80,000 miles the week after I traded it. Had 70,000 on it anyway and would not have been willing to take a chance on needing that $5,000 repair. Depressing.
