The last real truck?
I don't understand the negative reviews by the "professionals" while the actual owners rate the truck quite well. It rides very smooth for a 1/2 ton truck. The use of analogue displays/gauges combined with the 7" digital display allows for the best of both worlds as you can select many different views from the digital display. The zero gravity seats are amazingly comfortable and the standard safety features of the titan cost thousands as options on competitors (with the exception of the Toyota Tundra). While some pros praise the new hybrid and turbo V6s, they are yet to be proven for long haul hard work in trucks. V8s including the 5.6 endurance V8 have been around and proven to reach 300K plus miles. Price: When shopping the capabilities, I looked at the Ram Rebel, the Ford Tremor, the Toyota TRD Pro, and the Titan Pro 4X. When comparing all things equal, leather seats, moon roof, V8, adaptive cruise, running boards (short wife and kids)... I ended up with a list of preferred items. By shopping those items, the Toyota doesn't offer a big 8 anymore and the price is a solid $12K or more with no incentives. Ford and Ram offer the 5.0 in the Tremor and the 5.7 in the rebel, but easily cost $10 to $14K more with no incentives or very few. The Titan offered 0% financing for 60 months and discounts with an already lower price. All in, the Titan cost almost 30% less than the competition ($10 to $14K in price plus thousands in financing charges with the current interest rates). Sticker Titan Pro 4X at $64k with incentives down to 60K with taxes, fees, and zero % interest for 60 months totals $64,201 by the time the loan is paid. The comparable Rebel at $74K with the same percent of taxes and the same exact fees at 5% interest for 60 months = $89,575 by the time the loan is paid. The Ram is great truck and the interior is a little better, but I do not believe it is 30% better. Pros: Costs, powerful naturally aspirated V8, very smooth 9 speed transmission, ride quality, seat comfort, warranty (by far best in class), standard safety features, multiple camera views, traditional buttons and knobs integrated well with digital and touchscreen interface, front skid plate forward location... Cons: lower max tow rating than competitors, lower quality camera display, smaller aftermarket support due to market share, MPGs are as would be expected with a big V8. Final Thoughts: While it is not for everyone, the Nissan Titan Pro 4X offers a lot of truck for the money. If you are in the market for an American made (Mississippi) truck with a throaty V8 and lots of features, it should be in consideration and does not deserve the lower ratings given by some reviews. At the time of this review, you can get a Titan Pro 4X for about the same price as the new Colorado and Canyon (considering finance charges) and far less than the full size counterparts.

Great truck at a Great Price
This was my first full size truck. I have had a few other small trucks. I test drove all of the competition Ford, GMC/Chevy, RAM, Toyota. I ended up with the 2021 Pro4X with all options except the entertainment system. The amount of features in this truck was comparable to some of the higher end models out there. You get a lot for your $$. I was surprised and happy to have gotten this with a 0% APR for 7 years non of the other manufacturers were offering 0%. The 100,000 / 5 year warranty was a no brainer. I really like the styling of this truck inside and out. It is very comfortable. I drove it for 4 hours straight without any low back pain and my passengers said it was very comfortable also. I took it off road and it had no problem in snow, mud, sand, climbing up hill etc. It performed beyond my expectations. I don't understand why this truck doesn't get as many accolades as the other manufacturers. I would definitely recommend this truck.

Great except for mileage
This is a pretty good truck. The only downside is bad gas mileage. The steering wheel feels good. The seats are comfy. Never had a problem with any of the three Titans I have owned. I would recommend this truck as long as you shop around and get a good price. The Nissan people in Gallatin, TN are some of the best. The only deal breaker the truck used to have was it's terrible infotainment screen. Now they have a large colorful one that looks great.

Love My Titan...It Deserves More Respect! - Update
3 year / 35k mile update: No problems, no issues, no glitches, no rattles. I am not even beginning to consider swapping for another vehicle at this time in my ownership…a rarity for me. 20k mile update: Titan has been great! I am as impressed with it now as I was when I bought it. Wish it had Auto 4WD, and also would like the drivers seat to adjust lower...but these are very minor compared to the list of issues I had with my 2016 F150 (didn't like the jumpy highway handling, poor headlights, horrible dealer service, many reliability quirks and recalls). Original Review: I am really impressed with the Titan and love driving it. Impressions when test driving: Its real-world V8 performance, handling, braking and comfort are equal to or better than my 2016 F150. In addition to the F150 I have owned Ridgeline and Tundra, and have test driven all choices (though only bothered to go so far as sitting in the GM). Except for favorable Ram reviews, and knocks on the Titan's exterior styling (the Titan has a couple awkward styling points in my opinion) I disagree with auto reviewers' opinion of the Titan vs competition. Minor styling aside I feel the Titan has no major shortcomings whereas the others did. Real world gas mileage of all trucks is within 2-4 mpg of each other (they're all horrible, so might as well get a nice sounding and driving V8) and configuration choices had no impact on my decision. The Titan's final negotiated purchase price (not the MSRP as often referred to in reviews) and warranty did have a major impact in my decision though...with the Titan SL I feel like I got an F150 Lariat / Limited (or Ram Laramie / Limited) for an XLT/Big Horn price...and got a 5 year/100k bumper to bumper warranty vs 3 year/36k with Ford and Ram. Impressions After 1 Month: Love: Seat comfort is the best! Safety technology works flawlessly. Engine sounds and drives awesome. Everything is where it should be and is easy to use. Headlights that work (my F150's headlights were beyond useless). Don't Love: Manually locking rear tailgate (need to use a key to lock!). The rear doors don't open as wide as the F150, and I keep trying to open wider. Transmission has been confused a couple times...thinking it's software getting used to my driving.
3 titan owner
I've had a 14, 16, and now a 21. They are great trucks and work horses....and American Made! Not sure which is better. The company that is foreign owned but give jobs to Americans and makes their products here or an American company that employs in n Mexico and uses mexican parts. Anyways, the Titan is a great trucks and always has been and you don't see them around every corner so they seem to be a little unique. I would highly recommend and wish they would get the recognition they deserve for their quality and their american manufacturing.

Tremendous Truck and Value
I previously owned a 2017 Titan Platinum Reserve. It is almost like they had my list of changes I wanted to see and put them in the 2020+ Titan. I have a fully loaded up 2021 Pro-4x. The seats are crazy comfortable, the ONLY ones I liked as much were the massaging seats that are in the upper end Ford F150, BUT the shape of the Nissan Seat is better. Very solid stereo, huge sunroof, so far the build has been great. Quiet interior and it looks great (to me at least) as they tweaked the front end. 9 speed transmission is smoother than the 2017. Heated and Cooled seats also work much better so far than the 2017 (inconsistent). So far the 2021's have been very good though a shade slow to heat up, but they do and quite well. Great Tech on this truck also for parking and safety. I may have liked the previous Rockford Fosgate Stereo slightly better, but the Fender system is good for a stock system. Given the outstanding warranty it's tough to go wrong. Only drawback is the MPG as I do wish it was a bit better.

3rd Titan
I just traded my 2019 Platinum Reserve which was a fantastic truck and probably my favorite I've ever owned. I traded for a loaded up 2021 Pro-4X moonroof package and all. I'm enjoying to large moonroof, updated screen and improved instrument cluster. I'm also a big fan of the new headlight and twilight design and look. Ultimately I will say there are some things I liked better about my Platinum Reserve. I liked the premium leather better than the textured leather in the Pro-4x, so far I'm not a fan of the 9 speed in the 2021. I find it rough off the line almost like 1st gear is too short to take off smoothly. I also haven't seen that it makes any improvement in fuel economy at all. As someone who uses it to tow,, I've never found it to be inadequate as many reviews like to complain about. I also like and use the utili track system regularly. As for storage boxes,, the Titan does it better than anyone as they are very useful and easy to remove if you need a full with box. Overall I like the 2021 just fine and am happy that I traded. I'm loving the moonroof and black/red trim on the Pro-4X. My advise to those in the market is to give the new Nissan Titan a fair shake and test drive one.

Love my Titan - Edmunds not so much
Wow - The guy who wrote this review must be suicidal….lol. What an awful, untruthful, and one side review. Is this guy a political commentator? I love my Titan - Why do I need ten engine, axle, transmission choices? You buy the truck with one choice right? You don’t drive the V6 on Monday then choose the V8 on Friday. The warranty is average…lol. The warranty is bumper to bumper 100k - Is that average? I would say like anything in life go experience things for yourself and don’t listen to the guy that never leaves his parents basement. Honestly I have owned the other trucks and really enjoy my Pro4x. It does what a truck should do and is very comfortable.

Second Titan Owner
2021 Nissan Titan Pro4X 4WD. This is my second Titan (the prior a 2018 SL 4X4). Pros: comfortable heated & ventilated seats, quiet interior (at speed), car-like ride comfort over most road surfaces, throaty growl from the strong V8. Clear midrange and treble from Fender audio system. Cons: AC doesn’t cool well on extra hot days, fuel tank size limits distance (no larger extended-range fuel tank available), heavy steering requires a lot of effort at lower speeds, limited adjustability for seat height on power seat, 360 camera resolution not very high (front and side cameras are low resolution), rear doors do not open as wide as front doors, updated 9 speed auto transmission shifts more erratically than prior 7 speed unit and can be frustratingly abrupt at low speeds, bass from Fender system is not clear and easily overpowers the speakers in the doors and creates “popping” sounds, clear shiny plastic screen on infotainment system easily scratches (& did so using the microfiber pad the service department sold!). Update: plastic Pro4X trim on the tailgate has faded (while sitting in the sun) and it’s only two (2) years old.

Beautiful-Powerful Truck
The Platinum has everything you could ever want with 400 HP. The options you get with this package would be $70K on competitors trucks. Hands down the best warranty for large trucks, 5 years 100K. Nissan offered me the option to extend to a 7 year 125K bumper to bumper for a very reasonable price.

Do yourself a favor and give this truck a shot!
After some fairly thorough research, I went with the Titan based on my perception of build quality, comfort, quiet cabin, safety features, awesome V8 engine, and warranty. Honestly can't see the knocks from the professional reviews that tend to rank the Titan below Ram, Ford, and GM. Seems to me that the biggest negative that gets called out is around lack of power train options - but if you want a rock solid V8, it stacks up well! Definitely more unique than the big 3, and since styling is completely subjective, you need to make your own decision rather than rely on a review. Comfortable, quiet, and performs great! Just take a test drive and see for yourself!

Great truck in a crowded market
I spent 2 years test driving trucks and making a decision. I have now owned the Titan for about 1 year and could not be happier. Coming from the Ford Expedition, I really tried to like the new F150. Problem is, I had to spend 70-80K to get what I wanted and the value was just not there. Enter Titan with a better ride and better comfort for 10-15K less. I tried to like the Ram, but didn't trust the reliability. Having to give up a trick tailgate was the penalty, which is not much with the Titan step that folds easily under the bumper. I use the Titan boxes all the time with gear stowed to support towing needs and boating items. I travel long distances frequently with a family of 4 and 2 smaller dogs and a 20' boat. The towing capability is excellent, and everyone is very comfortable. Seems as though the spec wars and marketing favor the other truck brands, but I am extremely happy with my choice.

2nd Titan 2021 Platinium
Bought new 2004 and loved it, the look & style, ride, comfort and handling. 238,888 miles and motor transmission still great. Started spending on expected repairs and decide too many miles pulling RV long distance. Bought the 2021, like the gas mileage, but premium is expensive and math makes it ok with the additional power. The agility was better in the 2004 and transmission was much smoother. Not crazy about the clunky gears, told it’s memory related. Has gotten much better with 8k miles. Nice accessories and excellent ride, tows RV well, love the camera technology. The GPS is terrible, use Google map instead. Like how dealer has always taken care of me. If the transmission smooths out, I’ll be much happier and relaxed.
Great truck for the money!
I got lucky and found a loaded up 2021 Pro4X with lots of rebates. Walked out with a truck that stickered for 61k for only 49. I love the sound of the 5.6 V8 and it has a decent amount of punch for a full size truck. My biggest gripes were how low the front end sits at stock height and also the lower than average fuel consumption. I've averaged around 16-17 mpg and that seems to be on the high side compared to others. The ride height was fixed with a Bilstein upgrade from the stock 4600's to 5100. The front end was leveled with rear for less than $1000 including Dirt King upper control arms. It rides great and will get me anywhere I need to go and almost anywhere I want to go. The 5 year 100k mile bumper to bumper warranty was the icing on the cake. I do still need to take it on for a transmission issue where it clunks while downshifting from 2nd to 1st. The final issue pertains to the infotainment. My truck is one of the many that has had an issue with the screen "delaminating" causing a small spot that looks dirty or scratched. Great truck overall and as long as Nissan takes care of these small problems, I will be a repeat customer.

2023 Titan Pro 4x
I test drove Rams, Silverado’s and F 150s. The Nissan is a great truck for a great price that simply outdoes all of these trucks. I had a 2018 pro 4x, that was bullet proof. That is why I got another. Interior materials especially the leather look great! Seats and visibility are excellent. Gas mileage is on par with the others. Ride quality is excellent. I think this truck is definitely under rated and should be considered by all before you make a purchase decision. Great warranty also helps in deciding factor. Truck stands out from the rest in it’s stying. You do not see one on every corner!

Terrible since driving it off the lot
I recently had a 2004 Nissan Titan that was very reliable, so when I upgraded, I decided to buy the 2021. Overall it handles very nice. However, I am having a few problems with it. First, the transmission is terrible! I bangs going into 1st gear and shifts hard. When I take my foot off the gas, I feel the transmission downshifting, almost to the point of it feeling like I’m pressing on the brake. Second, the windshield was not put in correctly. Any time I drive over 45 mph, it sounds like a window is cracked open. Lastly, I took it into service and they said all the bolts for the rear suspension were completely loose. After sitting at service for 3 hours, they were unable to diagnose the transmission or figure out where the clunking sound is coming from. Plus they had to put in a request to Nissan engineers to figure out the windshield. I’ll be dropping it off again to them tomorrow morning. Oh, last thing, the AC unit is very loud in it. It cycles on and off non-stop and every time it turns on, it makes a clunking sound as well. Overall, not very happy with my purchase.
Best overall truck in production
The Titan is what a modern truck should be. There’s plenty of performance (not sure where the 7.5 seconds comes from I get 6s all day), the tech is fantastic but not overly zealous with extremely large displays overcompensating for lack of other features, it’s extremely comfortable and very little road noise (I’ve driven 14 hour drives with no aches or issues), and most importantly it still feels like a conventional truck where many fail at that as they try to appear more futuristic sacrificing many of the beloved aspects of what made us love having a truck.

The best new old truck
While others like Toyota Tundra have ventured into unproven new technologies (search twin turbo problems), the 2023 Nissan Titan has stuck with the reliable V8. Of course, there are always arguments for and against both. But I prefer to let others go first with “progress”. Pioneers get slaughtered and settlers prosper. Yes, fortune favors the bold…but this is a truck we are talking about, not a stock. I’ve been more than impressed with my 2023 Titan. And I didn’t have to pay the 10+% premium (plus tax). It’s a great all-around truck and a great value. 99% never approach the limitations anyway. Give it a test drive. It will make you question your current brand loyalty.

This thing can move!
I have nothing to complain about, I traded a 2012 Titan SV so my expectations were somewhere around a little better and a lot newer. Wow! A lot better, It is quick, smooth and comfortable. And I will be honest, it is one good looking truck. The compliments just keep coming. All in all, I couldn’t be happier with it.

Not as great as everyone claims
I have a nissan titan pro4x. While it is a great looking truck I find that it is very laggy on takeoff power as well as switching gears such as down shifting to pass someone or even take off from a light. In addition to that it's infotainment system leaves much to be desired. It's maps are a joke claiming many many streets are unknown roads. Yet supposedly its maps and software are up to date. That is absolutely unacceptable at this modern day with advanced systems like they claim this has. It also is terrible at connecting with phones and it's voice commands seem to understand next to nothing as if it were software from 10 years ago. Something like this shouldn't even be allowed in their infotainment system. In addition to that, it's cameras are intermittent when they come on and are not very clear. I bought this truck with 1k miles on it and unfortunately have been disappointed on it all the way up to the 33k it has now. It makes noises from too many places and I've had the battery replaced 3 times already because the stupid headlights stay on for something like 15min after shutting off the truck. Nothing like draining the battery after turning off the truck. Nissan could have had a good truck but stupidity and trying to cut corners is the reason they never made it in the American market.

Solid Truck
Really like this truck. Feels comfortable and natural to drive. Exterior styling is fantastic and the interior is much nicer than it looks in pictures. Everything is simple and easy to use, the seats are great and the center console and arm rest are nicely padded. The only complaints I have are the lo res backup camera and the lack of padding on the upper door trim.

Great truck and for outstanding value!!
This is my first 2023 Nissan Titan SV Mid Night Edition truck and I have to say, I’m sorry i waited this long to own one. This truck is definitely getting the short end of the stick when compared too the big three. I think for the money especially along with the 100K 5yr warranty that in it self beats any of the so call big 3. I’ve own a 2015 Ford F150 XLT 2.7 eco boost and I thought that was a great truck but with that I had problems with it and as far as advanced technology in that truck I would have had to get the top of the line next trim level. With this truck it comes with upgraded technology that you would have had to pay very dearly, if you went with the other big 3. As far as I can say about styling, when I bought my truck to work I got all kinds of compliments and most came from people that owned other trucks from the big 3. I think the Nissan Titan isn’t getting the recognition it deserves but if people want to sleep on a good value with a powerful V8 that at top speed outruns the competition let them sleep on. After 10 months truck is still running and looking good as it did when I bought it. Still getting compliments. Here it is about 2months from being 2yrs old and it’s still running just like when I bought it. I put a 3 inch lift kit on it and some new rims and tires. Along with a roll cover and OEM fog lights. Also I’ve changed out my emblems for all black and blacked out the taillights. I guess this will be my forever truck.

it's a good truck
why this Nissan Titan has a lot criticism that it contains many hard plastic parts, I see that F150 ,GM and Ram 1500 contain a lot hard plastic too and price are very expensive the middle class cannot afford a truck from the big three , I just bought a Titan platinum reserve 2023 , I was able to buy it for the price of a basic truck from Ford or GM just do you homework find a Nissan dealer who wants to work with you and look for all discounts ,rebates now is a good time to buy 2023 ends soon ! .... my final comment is that the Titan is just another pickup truck that will do the same performance and work done

Great truck
I had to post a review when I read the negative underwhelming warranty comments by Edmonds. It has a 5 year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, which is the best in class. I have a 2023 Pro4X. I love the way it drives and rides. The locking rear makes it much better in snowy conditions while in 2WD than the 2019 RAM I had. Power is on par with the 5.7 HEMI. I haven’t towed with it yet. Interior space is smaller than the RAM, but I like some of the features better. Negatives so far: Fuel economy sucks and premium is recommended. I get 14 MPG around town and 17 on the interstate. The trim around the interior door handles already has two minor chips after a month of owning.

One of the last trucks for truck people
If you crave the grunt of a V8 and want a truck that won't let you down, this is it. My second Titan, a '21 PRO-4X. The steering is well weighted and doesn't fumble around over potholes through a turn like my 4-letter make work trucks do. The ride is great on the highway, it soaks up large potholes very well even at high speed. Plenty of power, though you won't be doing 0-60 pulls in under 6 seconds, the 9 speed trans fills in the gaps from the previous generations. One complaint is that fist gear ratio is crazy low and you definitely feel it off the line but logic tells me this should result in less transmission wear over time as compared to competitors who's 1st ratio is closer to my second. Interior is great, well-appointed, the seats are firm but comfortable. Currently 1 year in and just rolled 10k miles, my only issue is that I don't get to drive it as much as I'd like to.

Molding Top
The truck runs great, handles great BUT the top of mine, 2021 Titan SV keeps building up mold in the 2 tracks on the top. Dealer had them cleaned and painted, BUT now the repair is turning yellow and the mold is building up again. NO I do not park under a tree or near any trees. I park in my driveway and in parking lot at work. The mold is ugly and no matter how clean I keep the rest of the truck the mold is very obvious.

A great value truck for the $$.
Finest truck on the market
The "experts" dog this truck due to a V8 being the only available option. If a V8 is what you need this is your truck. Laden with all of the latest tech it's really sad that Nissan has discontinued the Titan for 2025.

Great Truck - Much Better Than Edmunds Review
I recently bought my used 2023 Titan SV Midnight. I almost backed out of buyinh it because of negative reviews about everything from fuel mileage to handling to tech. I can tell you - I love this truck. And the negative review are for the most part total B.S. 1. Fuel mileage - I'm getting well over 20 mpg combined city and freeway - and the Titan does it without stuttering "turning off" cylinders like the Dodge Ram and without the annoying and totally worthless stopping of the engine at every stop light. 2. "Heavy steering, clumsy handling, really feel the weight comments" Who are writing these reviews? Girly men? Women? I think the steering and handling feel about right. Personally, I don't like a steering wheel that is too easy to turn. The Titan handles great for a full size truck. 3. "Have to really stand on brakes" - Again, did an 18 year old girl do the test drive? The brakes feel good. I DO NOT like grabby brakes like Chevys that stand you on your head when you barely touch them. 4. Tech - It's got everything I need - and most of all - it all actually works 5. Towing - Big three are rated higher in towing capacity - it's a rating - it doesn't mean they can handle it. Most people I know would agree Dodge towing capacity is over-rated. And if you DO tow at max rating repeatedly, you'll be buying a transmission. I long swore off Mopars because of their transmissions - two times they have left me on the side of the road. I really appreciate the Titan has two trailer connectors built in, a flat 5 pin and a round connector, and that the Titan has a factory installed trailer brake controller. 6. Cheap plastic interior - really? You think the big three are any better? I've owned almost every brand of truck - Chevy Silverado, Dodge Dakota, Chevy Silverado Z71, Dodge Ram, Ford F-150 Lariat, Nissan Frontier, and now, my 2023 Nissan Titan. The interior in my Titan is as nicer or nicer than any of the trucks I've owned. And I doubt it will be creaking, squeaking and rattling at 60K miles like a Chevy or Dodge. Ignore the negative reviews and get a great deal on a Titan. You'll save money and have a great truck

Damn nice ride
20,000 miles, not one single issue. Seems one of the big manufacturers is having issues with their V8 engines. Another one that I am quite fond of introduced a new inline 6 and no other option for their 1/2 ton trucks, reliability yet to be proven. I actually drove one of the 3.0 Rebels today. Decent low end and torque, but no rumble at all. For sure not impressive enough to talk me out of my Titan. I'm not brand loyal at all, I own a 1997 Mercury Tracer, a 2005 Pontiac Vibe, a 2008 F150 Fx4 and a 2023 Titan. I'll be hanging to the Titan.
