Used 2006 Nissan Titan Crew Cab Consumer Reviews
Not a Real Full Size Truck
The driver seat (capt. chair) does not allow full size people to set comfortable like Ford and Chevy. Slip feature causes the vehicle to lose power, which leads to getting stuck in mud or snow much easier than the competition. After about 5000 miles rattles and squeaks appear. The heated seats are more like warmer seats. Front-end sits too low (does not set level) Major vibration at 80 mph on cement roads. Difficult to change oil. After only 200 miles I have a major warranty list. After washing it the first time I would say there are too many emblems, it needs less external detail. It does have great power and sound system.
Great truck, too many problems @6,000 mi
Excellent looking, powerful, fun to drive truck. I get complimants almost daily about the looks. I currently have 6,000 miles, i have had all rotors and pads replaced as i had a nasty braking shimmey. Nissan had a service bulletin an this. Now my transmisson case is dripping fluid, my drivers window is loose and rattles when not shut tight. My one big disappointment when i purchesed it is it has no climate control, this is a $36,000 vehicle!! 2006 models no have it. I waited a model year before buying, i have contacted Nissan and am curious if i hear from them, other than that its back to the dealer for my newest repairs. I honestly love the truck!!!

Whats up with the gearing ?
This truck is very comfortable, quiet cab, nice controls etc... but what really makes this truck disappointing is the GEARING. Nissan posts the truck has 379 ft/lbs of torque and the lowest gears you can get are 3.36:1 with the big tow package. The best fuel miles I've gotten are 16mpg on the highway. You cannot make this truck accelerate just because it has a 5-speed transmission. Go Drive a NEW Silverado with a 5.3L (smaller) engine w/ 3.73:1 gears, result - the Chevy will out pull, out accelerate this Nissan everyday of the week and twice on Sundays plus the Silverado gets 19- 20mpg on the highway because of its OVERDRIVE transmission. GEARING is EVERYTHING in a truck this heavy. GM wins.
