Brakes warp

I own a 6,300 lb travel trailor and I purchased my 2004 Nissan Titan just so I could pull it. It has no problem pulling, the problem is stopping. Everytime I pull this trailor the front rotors warp and the truck shakes really badly. I have had it worked on several times and Nissan is aware of the problem. They even told me that all of the Titans and the Armadas have this problem. They have not fixed it to date. I will never buy another Nissan product again because they know the problem and won't fix it. The regional sales director for Nissan in North Carolina last response to me was "Safe driving," which was very irritating.

Purchased the Titan LE with Big Tow , Side air bags, Running Boards, Floor Mats, Splash Guards, Have 1100 miles and checked gas mileage 17 MPG City/Hiway driving, seems to be a strong truck, smooth ride, drives good, HOT RODDER BEWARE, the brake pads/rotors will be the first to go along with lousy MPG I own a 04 Toyota Sienna have got 29.3 MPG avg.during the 11,000 city/highway driving and expect to get 20+MPG on expressway trips @65 MPH.

Great truck all the way.

This is a great truck. Design and features are the best in the industry. The nearest is the new F150, which costs more than the Titan when you option it up, also it is amazing to think this is Nissan's first full size pickup. For a first attempt, this is a solid 9 overall. Even mileage is not bad, its a full size truck remember, 15 overall is better then my wife's SUV.

Great truck. Far cry from going from a decent car(Nissan Sentra 02). Traded it in on an 04 Titan. 2nd one off of the delivery truck (Dec03). Had it a year and a half. Very smooth, comes in handy for looking around at new developments(I am now a real estate agent) and to say the least, getting lost on the undeveloped dirt roads is fun(as long as you have plenty of gas and a tolarant client).Fosgate Stereo is a nice feature, for a stock offering that would otherwise suck. My wife can get bored, fill the bed full of yard material(dirt, mulch etc), and it doesn't even notice. The sad thing is that I am considering refinancing the thing for 6 years(lost other job) just so I can try to keep it.

Best 1/2 Ton Truck

Ten months and 10.5K miles of ownership and best truck I have ever owned. Ain't perfect, brakes have problems (judder) but Nissan is stepping up to plate and covering any brake problems for a full three years and 36K miles on original brakes and replacing with newer rotors and pads to correct problem. If looking for a used one, try to find an '04 with tow pkg, since it included VDC (vehicle dynamic control) an option appreciated with a truck that has this much POWER! VDC is optioned with side air bags on the '05's. Both these options hard to come by, or not even available, on Chev, Ford, Dodge.

I have owned Dodge, Ford, and Chevy trucks and this Titan is the best truck I have owned to this day. Most powerful fun to drive vehicle I have ever had. Great for working or playing. Tows like a big dog and more interior room than my Dodge Ram Quadcab had. Very sporty truck.

When local Chevy dealers would not work with me to get the Silverado with the equipment I wanted, I looked at the other vehicles available. The Titan was a vehicle I had read reviews about and knew to be very well rated but until I drove one, I did not appreciate all it had to offer. I have owned the truck for about 13 months and am completely satisfied with the ride, comfort, power and payload the vehicle has. I regularly get compliments on the color, Canteen, and the overall appearance of the truck. I have bought about 20 new vehicles over several years and this is the first that I have been totally satisfied with after the first year. I would recommend this truck to all.

After owning my Titan truck for two years, I give it a definitive A-. It's almost a perfect truck when it comes to power and creature-comforts, it could be improved in the turning-radius department - my wife's 2004 Durango (similar in size) can turn around in a substantially tighter space, also all the hoopla about the "awesome power" is somewhat exaggerated - our other 5.7 Hemi seems to move the 6,000 lb SUV more effortlessly and with less noise/strain from the engine. it is plenty adequate but nothing to jump up and down about...In a nut-shell, I would highly recommend this truck without hesitation.

the nissan titan is by far the best truck built today however, because of this there are a few kinks that have to be worked out but overall it is powerful, great looking and a thrill to drive.

I love my Titan. Plenty of power and a very smooth transmission. Great riding truck and I would purchase another. In fact I plan to buy another one soon. Gas mileage could be better.

I would definitely buy this truck again. Purchased new in October 2004, I love this truck. Tires, batteries, wiper blades mainly over 16 years. I did have a rear axle seal problem that was fixed under warranty. Just replaced the original starter. Best 24k I ever spent.

Nissan had the vehicle more the last 6 months than I did. Had to replace engine at 26,000. Never did get it to run right. Just returned to dealer and traded for something else. Worst service I have ever seen form a dealer ship. Will never own another Titan.

I went into dealer ship expecting to buy a Ford -150. One look at the Nissan Titan I quickly forgot about the F-150 and drove home with a Titan. One hell of a smooth ride and a beautiful spacious truck. You don't know how many compliments I have received from perfect strangers admiring the vehicle.

THE RIDE IS EXCELLENT, THE HANDLING IS GREAT THE INTERIOR DESIGN IS SOME WHAT UNDESIREABLE. I PURCHASED IT FOR THE FUEL ECONOMY, AND I GET THAT. MY BIGGEST FEAR IS THAT I GET INTO AN ACCIDENT WITH THIS TIN CAN. OTHERWISE ITS A (B) ON A SCALE FROM A+ TO D RATING

first of all: there's no rear axle electronic locking differential until April 2004. not even a limited slip differential. we're getting 8 city/15 hwy mpg, first 500 miles with the off road and big tow packages (3.36 final drive) easy to get stuck on deep (1') snow, but then what 4x4x isn't, i guess. truck lock is always locked..annoying. ca not anser the Reliability question yet...

BLOWN TRANSMISSION on Test Drive

Test Drives, what are they for? Seeing what your future puppy can do. I was driving the new Titan as anyone would on a test drive when the rear end chirped and the tranny downshifted extremely roughly. This was followed by a floaty rpm range with no forward movement. After trying to go around the block i realized we were stuck in 3rd (no it wasn't the manual gear lock on the shifter). After a few mintes the check engine light was glowing.

Most people rate their trucks a few days after they buy them. I have had this truck for several months and overall it is a very poorly manufactured/designed vehicle. Rattles everywhere, windows do not come down when it gets cold, door won't close when it gets cold. Engine noise at idle. I have had almost all manufacturers of truck and this is the worst by far. Not all Japanese cars are the same. Toyota, Honda are great, Nissan is not.

Bought this truck 2 months later while driving to Missouri hit luggage off someones truck.RIPPED OUT THE DRIVE TRAIN,$2400 damage! Then while driving in FL got stuck in mud a FORD RANGER pulled me out. How EMBARRASSING is that? Plus horrible resale value 5 month old truck paid 27 now worth 18??? Don't get me wrong it tows great and is a great truck when not in the shop with parts on back order.

I purchased a 04 se titan 4x4 w/ big tow and off rd pkg new 1/05. fun truck and looks nice, but i dont think i would ever buy one if i had another go at it. Fun to drive as long as you turn off the traction control everytime you get in it. I've told many people it would be a great truck, if I bought it for my wife to drive the kids around in, but i'm not married so....I feel it's a very safe "street" vehicle. if you plan on going anywhere you might need 4wd, lock it in before it's needed. otherwise you might not get it to engage on demand. the mpg is not too good compared to alot of other trucks. I had to have the brake jutter kit installed. that did seem to take care of that issue.
