Beware buying Nissan sentra
2010 NISSAN SENTRA At 85k miles the ECU does not work, catalytic converter was plugged-poor quality. CVT Transmission have hard time shifting, going up the hill the RPM goes high. Fixing the ECU you have to go to the dealer no one else can do it besides it's a long waiting line in the dealership.

Sentra getra
Cheaper than the competition; a good value. 72,000 miles, extended warranty. Problem limited to CV. Solonoids wouldn't activate after being overheated in long turnpike leg. Wouldn't shift back to low upon stopping, necessitating sart up in high. Nissan dragged their feet admitting they had a problem. Otherwise, gearless transmission works great, very smooth.

This CAR ROCKS
I had an 2007 Sentra SL and upgraded to the 2010 Sentra SER The steering is so much better, seats really hug you and getting 33mph on highway, not bad for this trim
What a subcompact!!!!
Maybe one day America will build a strong reliable subcompact!! Chevy cobalt??Test drove it,what junk!!Ford focus??Test dove it,I hit a small indent at a intersection at 35 mph,you had to hear the strut bang coming off the front left wheel!!Dealer pretended he did not hear anything!!!Honda civic, excelent car,but over-priced!! Toyota corolla, excellent car,but again over-priced!! Nissan sentra-S 2010,solid car, great quality, quiet, great build, and yes a strong history of strong reliability!! Had to wack the dealer somewhat, but eventually came close to my price!! What a car!!!! NISSAN DELIVERS!!
Nissan Sentra 2010 - no recomendation at all
This is the worse car I ever had. Extremely high fuel consumption. Average more than 12 liters per 100 km. Mostly driving 2 persons, no speeding or excessive braking, 60% city 40% highways. Both dealer and Nissan refused to do anything with it, they say it is normal. My opinion official data about fuel consumption are out by 2 litres at least. Cheap material used everywhere, no space at rear seats. My recommendation - try to avoid this car. Bad dealer's and Nissan support, they are just trying to catch you. I was driving many cars, did well over 1.5 mil. km but this is the lemon No.1.
