We love it!
We have not owned a compact car in years and after test driving many models we were not sure we were willing to give up the quiet smooth ride in exchange for gas mileage. Once we test drove the Sentra we knew immediately it was the car we were looking for. It is very quiet with a smooth ride and has extremely comfortable seats. The cabin gives the feel of a much larger vehicle and the 2.0 engine has no issues with acceleration when needed. We purchased the 2.0 S, and found the standard features to be extensive. The 5 star crash rating was a bonus.

Fast, Smart, Stylish, Practical, and FUN
First, let me say that this car was chosen after much deliberation. I compared and test drove over 5 competitors car before I made my decision. The final selection came down to the Honda Civic and the Sentra (no surprise as these are each others main competition). Final decision was the bottom line price. I purchased a 2010 Nissan Sentra SER in black out the door before tax, tag, or title for $17,500. The very best price on the most comparable Civic (Si model) was $21,700. Thats over 4K! Honda also decided not to offer their performance enhanced Si in an automatic so I even compared the normal Civic to the SER and the best I could do on a comparable car was almost 2K more! I was impressed
Sentra getra
Cheaper than the competition; a good value. 72,000 miles, extended warranty. Problem limited to CV. Solonoids wouldn't activate after being overheated in long turnpike leg. Wouldn't shift back to low upon stopping, necessitating sart up in high. Nissan dragged their feet admitting they had a problem. Otherwise, gearless transmission works great, very smooth.

Do not buy a Spec V! Engine problems!
This car has an engine malfunction which is apparent once car warms up. I bought my car new, and this malfunction started once it had 2,000 miles on it. This causes a car that claims to get 29 mpg on the highway, to get 23 mpg highway. This 200 hp car feels closer to 120 hp when the engine is acting up. The dealership and Nissan engineers are saying that it is a characteristic of the car, and thus far have not made a recall. This affects 2007+ sentra spec v's. I would not have bought this car had I had access to the above information prior to my purchase. Please speak with someone who has this car prior to purchase!
