Perfect Car
Bought my Nissan new as a commuter. Went through two Saabs, two fords, and a Nissan pickup as my second car during the past 8 years - but the Sentra has been all but perfect. NO NONE ZERO repairs in 165,000 miles! Timing chain means no expensive belt replacements. Just tires, oil, couple of sets of break pads, and thats it. Aircon still cool, seats survived my children, can't say enough good things.
money in the bank
Back in 1995 just married and new child this car came at the perfect time. It delivered fuel economy, comfort and four doors for baby. I've been a fan of Japanese dependability and this car has been a main stay in our family now for almost 10 years. I drive in heavy traffic daily around 80 miles. This Sentra has the pep to hit the passing lane with no fear. Last checked I was getting 38.5 MPG with 190,000 miles on my workhorse. There is not the space of our minivan but for a small family in moderate shape we fit comfortably in this car for small trips.
Keep walking!!!!
Front crankshaft seal, CV joints, alternator (that failed with no warning light, leaving me stranded), brakes that refuse to be fixed, shifting linkage, possible transmission failure in the making, terrible injector problems...No more Nissans for me. So much for Sentra reliability!!!
The Best Car I Ever Owned
I bought the Sentra about 8 years ago and it is the greatest car I ever bought! With 210,000 mile on the car with no major problems how can anyone not be impressed. I just get in the car, turn the key and go.
Great little car
Reliable car. This car has started all but 3 times -- 2 batteries and 1 starter. Tall people fit, but with a 4- door they end up in the back; headroom is great. Seems to be a problem with the hood latch, the hood is crooked just enough to keep pushing one headlight out of alignment -- which is bad because the lighting on this car isn't too good to begin with. Car has a lot of pep and can take steep hills like a champ, it's great in the snow (with good tires) and can make nice, sharp turns. Lighters are very hard to find outside dealer ($29) and bumpy roads are a bouncy trip. Great for tight city driving, parking is a breeze.
