absolutely the best SUV you can buy for the money.
First off, this is our second 2014 Pathfinder. We purchased a standard SL V-6 Model last year, and grew to love it so much, we traded in my eight year old Camry hybrid for a Hybrid model Pathfinder. It retains all the comfort and smooth handling of its V-6 cousin, but adds in some very impressive MPG numbers to boot. I'm only on my third tank of gas after owning it for two months, and Fuel Economy has improved with every tankful (27, 29, and now 31 MPG). It's actually a bit quieter then it's V-6 cousin, due to the extra sound deadening material, and the transition from engine to EV mode is a lot less noticeable then it was in my old Camry hybrid. Nissan gets an A+ for this model. UPDATE: Nearly three years and 40k miles later and my opinion hasn't changed...still a great vehicle. No significant issues at all. Still on the original brake pads, have only replaced the oil and air filters, plus upgraded to Michelins from the stock Toyos. Maintenance has been very cheap at the local Nissan dealership. Fuel economy has declined a little, but that's due more to my own change in driving styles. Still wish Nissan had kept it around as it is a worth compliment to it's V-6 cousin.

Great, until it wasn't
Like too many countless others, this WAS a great vehicle. No longer the case. The faulty transmission needs replacing and Nissan is nowhere to be found. So owner on the hook for $7500 replacement or drive it until it stops moving. When they don't have CVT's in their vehicles any longer, it tells you why. Up until this point though: great on gas (unbelievable actually), great storage, great to drive, etc. So 4 or 5 stars until it's faulty system finally reared its head.

Worst car I've ever owned! Buyer be ware
I purchased a used 2014 Nissan Pathfinder in 2016. It ran really well for a few years, until it didn't. It began to "sputter" and then I lost all electrical power....ON THE FREEWAY!!! FortunatelyI was able to coast to the side of the road. Had it towed to the dealership, and the guy from AAA told me he sees at least two or three a week that do the same thing. Spent $4,000 to have the electrical issue fixed, and that seemed to do the trick, for a bit. Then, a few weeks later the the car died again, in line at a McDonald's (don't judge). The dealership told me it was a transmission issue. This set me back another $6,000. From that point forward I had to have the gear in Drive at a certain position, otherwise the gears wouldn't "catch" and the engine would rev but not move the car forward. I was told that somehow this was my fault. Then, it broke down a third time. Had it towed to the dealership...again. Fortunately it was under repair warranty. Finally was ae to purchase a new Toyota Venza 2021. Not only will I never buy another Nissan (of any kind), I will only stick with what I know, which is Honda and Toyota. Post Script: The gas mileage is nothingless than awful in that particular model of Nissan. $77 every four days to fill up, was killing me.

2014 Pathfinder is the Worst Car I ever bought
I have owned 4 Nissans including a 2005 Pathfinder and this one is just rusting, falling apart and just not reliable. Most of the issues popped up right after my 36k Warranty expired (I have 54k on the car now). I just had to have the front exhaust replaced at 54k, Front Right Wheel Bearing 54k, Front Left Wheel bearing 39k. All covered by Warranty but really should not happen at that low mileage. I have had to do over $5,000 in repairs (not maintenance). This included my AC Compressor and pressure switch, Hood latch (twice) that I open about 10 times per year, Bolts on Rear Calipers froze and broke (at dealer). This was after they said I needed rear pads that only had 15k on them. All Bolts that are exposed are rusting. The car can no longer be aligned as those bolts are frozen. Interior random things are breaking including the rear hatch. My tailgate lifter broke off today (bolt rusted). I have a 2,500 pound boat and this car struggles with the tongue weight and is just not as sturdy as my previous generation Pathfider.
