Very Happy
I bought this car certified used and have driven it for 14k miles. This car fits our needs having two young children. We live in a large cityand only need one car, so the third row comes in handy. The Pathfinder has by far the most functional third row. You can easily access it with the car seats in, and it fits adults pretty comfortably. I'm also impressed with the performance and mpg. It's a definite step up from my 2010 Honda Pilot and 2006 Grand Cherokee. I'm also impressed with the luxury and convenience features on the sl. There is little difference between it and its cousin the Infiniti QX60. Given the issues that some people are having with the CVT transmission, I did have some concern about buying the Pathfinder but was reassured by the 100k mile warranty. I have had absolutely no issues with the car. In fact, I really like the smooth, constant power of the CVT. And you can't beat the discounts offered on the Pathfinder compared to its competitors. All in all, it meets the needs of our family and I'm very happy with this car.

Almost perfect
Updated review- Bought 2014 SL 4x4 in Aug. 2013. 3k - 5k miles we experienced the shudder, took it into the dealer, they fixed it. 22k miles the CVT started acting up again, took it in and they replaced the transmission! At 32k miles it did it again, again they adjusted it, at 37k it hasn't done it again, so far. We have been very lucky/happy with our dealer and the service they have provided us with on this issue. Pro's - Smooth ride, great features, love the leg room, good gas mileage, fun to drive, reasonably priced, Got into head on collision, very impressed with the safety features of this car. Car was totaled. Really love this car but will not buy again until CVT is fixed.

Numerous Repairs for a Brand New Vehicle!
One month after I bought this brand new, the car would not start in my driveway and had to be towed to the dealer. We were going on a road trip and had to cancel. Had to bring in the vehicle several times to the dealer for recall issues. Today, I took it to the dealer for 20,000 miles service before leaving for another road trip. Vehicle was found to have a major transmission problem and had to be in the dealership for more than a week. Dealer gave us a small rental car, which makes me feel queasy for a long road trip. I wish I had bought a Toyota or Honda instead. Once I get back the vehicle I will trade it in for a Toyota but I will be out by several thousands of dollars. I will never buy a Nissan again!

End of Year Bargain
My original 2014 PathFinder SV was upgraded at the end of last year to a 2017 PathFinder SV (with heated seats, heated steering wheel, and remote start). Leather seats were added as an after market option. After 30,000 miles, I like the drive train even better on the 2017, and it now tows up to 6000 pounds. The newer engine model plus transmission is smoother than the 2014 which makes for a great driving vehicle. From an overall perspective I really like the vehicle. Drives great, handles great, tows great, versatile and gets good mileage. The only flaw I have run into on the car is the entertainment system. It randomly malfunctions. This includes reboots while driving, not loading radio station presets, refusal to sync blue tooth, and my favorite... leaving the rear view camera active while driving "forward" down the road (a safety hazard). Even though these flaws have been demonstrated for the dealership where I purchased the vehicle, they have refused to repair/replace the entertainment system. They instead want to blame it on my smart phone. Not sure how my smart phone is causing reboots, or the backup camera to stay on when driving, but that is their response. I only list this as a large part of car ownership is the quality of the service. While I happily upgraded to this second 2017 Pathfinder, I am not sure I would purchase a third due to this strange issue and refusal on the part of the dealership to correct it. Also, if the smart phone really is causing this strange issue then that would be speak to very poor system stability and security within the Pathfinder. A properly synced smart phone should not crash the systems within a vehicle. I downgraded a number of my ratings based on these issues. ... We purchased our 2014 PathFinder SV on a very snowy presidents day. In the last few months we have logged almost 5,000 enjoyable, uneventful miles. This includes a road trip and numerous trips to sporting events hauling 4 kids, 2 adults, and 3 sets of hockey equipment. The ride is great, handling good, and acceleration smooth. So smooth that it is accelerating faster than you at first realize. Mileage has been very good, usually 22-23 in mixed driving (overdrive enabled, towing mode disabled for normal driving). I am looking forward to seeing how well it handles our boat. No shudders, or hick-ups, at all... Just enjoying the ride. ... 50,000+ miles in..,, Still love the 2014... Bluetooth could be better, and hands free is clunky, but knowing that this has been updated in the newer model, would purchase the car again. In fact we plan to buy the slightly upgraded version when this one wears out... Probably at 150,000+ miles.

Good Crossover
We bought this pathfinder AWD back in May 2014 we have put over 6,500mi on it and have had no problems. After owning an Expedition for several years initially I was hesitant to move to this crossover especially because the bad press for CVTs. The overall experience has been positive still able to tow my 18' boat at the same time save gas for daily use. Although the switch from traditional automatic to CTV is not 100% transparent (you need to adapt between keep pressing down the gas vs. hold or overdrive vs. automatically braking with engine for downhill's) at the end of the day it deliver a good experience.
