Top Shelf Quality
I can't say enough good things about my 1995 Nissan Pathfinder. I love the classic styling, although some say it's boxy I don't care. The back doors are too small, but the seating is comforable. The rear seats recline and I love that! If you are looking for a reliable inexpensive SUV look no further, its right here. Forget about Chevrolet Blazers and Ford Explorers. They don't hold a candle to the Pathfinder.
Well built
Great truck, very reliable
Just bought it but i love it already!
I just bought my pathfinder two days ago it has a little over two hundred and ten thousand miles on it. I work at a car dealership and they tell me the car is in excellent shape, its a 5speed manual, it shifts and drives great! the only thing it needs is one brake calipor and the cv joints in the front. But overall this car is a perfect 10! If you want a great truck that is dependable no matter how many miles you have on it this is the truck for you! I know I really love it, and i'll be sure to reccomend it to anoyone!
always starts
I had this truck for two years and I loved every minute of it. I was always reliable and no matter what I did to it, it always started. As long as it was taken care of. Really fun to offroad with.
It still rides
I love my truck. When I drive other cars, sure I love the zippiness of them, but when I get back in my truck, I love the feel of being in command of a ...truck. I feel right with the world. I have 209,000 miles on my truck.
Frame Rust!
I would have only good things to say about this vehicle, except it has a horrible problem with rust. It was bought in the NE and supposedly undercoated, but I can no longer get the car inspected, and can find no body shop willing to weld the rusted out frame. I have to scrap an otherwise perfectly good and well maintained car. Too bad, I love the style, the sportiness, and the design, but I'll never buy another Nissan rust bucket.
Worth the money
Great all-round vehicle. I can drive it to work every day, then head out camping on the weekends without a problem. Installed a set of AT tires, and I feel nothing can stop me. Love the 5spd tranny. Bought mine with 76,000 miles 2.5 years ago, am up to 115,000 with only normal wear and tear (brakes, tires, and oil changes)
Very Pleased
I bought mine with 35K and have put another 60K on it. Aside from scheduled maintenance and normal wear/tear, there have been NO problems whatsoever.
POS Lemon
POS Lemon. I made a mistake buying a rental car, maybe, but it is supposed to be reliable (Consumer Reports). It cost me $700 every three months in repairs like clockwork. I'll never buy another Nissan again after this. SUVs suck in general anyway.
rugged, dependable truck
I've had mine for 2.5 years. Here're the list of repair/maintanence beyond oil chage I've encountered so far: 1. 2001.3. Replaced exhaust manifolds: (removed heatshield and re-positioned rubber hose on top-- supposedly this would prevent future breakage) : $700 2. 2001.5. Brakes. Rear cynlinder leaked: $100 3. Oiling chassis. Replaced rusted nuts from undercar: $25 4. tuneup (replaced plugs, distributor cap and wires) $50 This puppy does NOT like anything other than the expensive NGKs!!! 5. 2003.3. Alternator $300 Remaining issue: ABS light stays on 99% of the time since the breakdown of alternator.
Awesomely reliable
96000 trouble free miles, never sees a garage except for oil changes. Could not ask for a better machine, great in the snow, really decent on the highway. Very comfortable for even 1000 miles trips.
I've owned this vehicle since 2010.
Most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. Will drive it till it dies since a stick shift is so hard to find in a more recent car.

Very Reliable, almost maintenance free!
At 60K miles, changed timing belt as advised, water pump too, just because it was convenient. 2WD vehicle, auto trans. Put 6 ply tires on it, 4 ply don't last very well. Bought it new in '95, now has 79K miles. Recent problem: Downshifting from OD to 3rd for no reason - Engine to trans wiring coupler cleaned, common problem, better now.

Nice truck.
My first truck. Previously drove sportscars (RX-7, Scirocco, CRX, Talon AWD) and an Outback. The Pathfinder is a capable off and on road performer. Handles like a truck - heavy and sluggish (expected). Still fun to drive especially off road. Good in the snow. Lots of room and decent towing power. Raised rear "theatre" seating is great for smaller passengers.
Try this for your 1st 4WD
This our 1st Pathfinder. Really like it so far. Not a real prtty car but that's part of the appeal. Wife drives it primarily. Did well in the big snow here in the NE with one exception. All season tires work 90% of time. We tried the other 10% and the right tires would have fixed that. Good traction in ice. Ideal for a family of 4. Our family of 5 (all average) a tad tight. We've put on just shy of 20,000 mi. just since April with no major problems. We have a little buzz in the steering column at about 2,800-3000 RPMs(?) Body is free of rust even though it spent several years in NY State.
