Transmission Problems
27,000 miles and already had a check engine light and whining from the transmission. After being told a new transmission was being ordered. Nissan changed their mind and upgraded a computer program. A few weeks later while on vacation the transmission began to whine again and the car lost power. I am currently in middle of arguing the need for a transmission replacement. When I first bought the car, I requested new brakes due to squealing . It only took three returns and an attitude for Nissan to correct this action. I never owned a Nissan before and most likely never will again. I never had such a hard time getting quality service after such a major purchase
Reliable car
Only thing bad is getting second key for push button start

Awesome car
I intended to buy a Altima coupe, after driving a coupe for 4 years. After sitting in the coupe and seeing that I probably couldn't get my golf bag to fit in that trunk, I made the decision to go with the sedan instead. Best decision! The Altima 3.5 SL sedan is absolutely amazing. It's loaded with every possible option under the sun. The ride is quiet, and the transmission is an engineering marvel. Extremely powerful and fuel efficient, and best of all it has a very sporty look. I like the blonde leather, and it spells class with just enough touch of the wood trim. This car lives up to the hype, and then some.
My first new car... ever!!! 2.5 SL pkg
This is my first new car purchase. Was gonna get a Subie Legacy but didn't like the way it shifted. Camry is bland, boring, and dealers wouldnt haggle with me. G35x was my dream car that never came true (lotta bread for that car). My friend bought an Altima and I was taken away by the tranny. Felt like a 6 cylinder to me and the smoothness and pickup was impressive.
Best sedan hands down
This has to be the most powerful & smooth 4 cylinder engine ever built. Not worth the extra for the 6 cylinder, trust me. The drive and handling are comparable to that of a $40k-$50k sedan. Interior is quiet, comfortable and extremely roomy. You get alot of car for the money, with great standard features. Vehicle is sleek and classy yet sporty all at once. Great gas mileage as well. Excellent all around car!
