Had a leased Pathfinder.Rec'd an offer from Nissan early termination.Accepted and leased an Altima. The performance is good to excellent. Disappointed to discover hood & trunk lid are molded not metal. Had to replace rear bumper damaged because it could not be repaired during Hurricane Ivan. Discovered trunk lid was molded when I tried to affix a magnet. I feel the safety of the car is in question if hit from the front or rear because of the molded hood and trunk lid.

Car is great!! Very affordable and did not have to deplete my budget. Handles very well. Plenty of leg room front and back. I originally wanted the majestic blue, but ended up with the coral sand. This color is just as good because doesnt show up dirt that bad and can camouflage scratches/nicks as compared to dark colors. I got the Convenience Plus Package w/ mine which inc. sunroof. Love it!! Floor Mats have the Altima Named in them for an added touch. Coral sand also has wood grain inside to give it more appeal and it definitely works!!

After test driving several new cars including the 2004 Maxima, Camery, Honda and a few others, the 2005 Altima 3.5SE was the clear winner. Solid, quiet, responsive and with all the whistles and bells you could ask for. This is a fun car to drive!

I am in love with my car!! I look forward to getting off of work so that I can take a drive. It has such a nice look to it - both inside and out. My passengers enjoy it too. The back seats are very roomy. The trunk is HUGE! I never had a moment of buyers remorse. I am very happy with my decision.

I really like my car. I live in TN and I have already drove it to MI and I was very comfortable except for such a long drive I wish I would have had a more substantial seat. I love my blue color and with the way the lights are it makes it lots easier to wash. I almost bought something else but I sure am glad that I bought my blue Altima.

Over a year later and nearly 32,000 miles, and I still look forward to every time I get behind the wheel! The car handles well in any kind of road condition, accelerates quickly and stops on a dime – a plus when it comes to Nashville driving. FUN to drive (though I got to watch out for those blue lights)! Such a comfortable ride both front and back, and for a fairly tall woman (with back trouble), I am seldom stiff when I get out of the car. It is a beautiful car, inside and out.

I TRULY WANTED THE 6 CYL 250 HP, BUT DID NOT WANT TO SPEND THE EXTRA 4,000.00. WHAT A SUPRISE AT THE POWER OF THE 175HP 4 CYL.THIS CAR IS FUN TO DRIVE. I KNOW IT IS THE BEST LOOKING CAR IN IT'S CLASS. THE INTERIOR IS VERY ROOMY,THE TRUNK IS LARGE. CRUISING AT 100 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE DID NOT BRING ANY VIBRATIONS,VERY SMOOTH RIDE.

I was leasing a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT and was more or less pleased with it's performance....until I took out a 2005 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE for a test ride. I was astonished at the horsepower, feel, look and quality of this Altima given the asking price! I had to buy it...and I have had a hard time parking it at the end of the day! What a fantastic car!

This is my 2nd Altima. I had an 02 model that I gave to a family member. I didn't really want to give it up, it's such a great automobile. My other car was a Lincoln and the Altima rides just as good for a lot less money to purchase and maintain. After the Lincoln I had a Mercury SUV, which was expensive to operate, so I traded it for an 05 Altima. My eldest son has bought three (3) altimas in the last year. The bottom line for all of us is: it's so much car for the price, plus the maintenance costs are reasonable.

I now have three Nissan vehicles and find my 2004 Altima 2.5SL to be the best $20K luxury car on the market. I have over six foot tall and there is still room for adults in the back seat. Reliability has been flawness and gas mileage for my daily commute averages over 28 MPG.

Ive had this car for two weeks and love it. It handles extremely well for a mid- size sedan. First tank of gas I got 25.3 mpg. I hope that will improve some as I expected to get around 28mpg. The stereo isn't bad for us 40 and over crowd. The trunk is huge. I wish I sent the extra $1500 for the convenience package. other than that it sure beats my Dodge Ram with the Hemi 14 mpg.

I think this car is not only attractive on the outside as well as the inside, but this car handles great on the road. I also think that you don't need the V6 edition to get more punch when you drive. I drive the 2.5S model and that car definitely has some punch in it! When going 60 miles an hour, you don't even feel like your going that fast, even at speeds of 80 or more. I love this car so much that I hope to keep it on the road for 10years!:)

I am a converted GM buyer but have had problems with their service, and repair costs over the past several years. My last car was a cadillac Catera, previously Buicks, Pontiacs. My Altima is the first foray into "foreign" territory. 4 people at work have an altima and the styling and good looks first appealed to me.After asking all 4 people how they liked their cars I received excellent comments from all of them with a unanimous completely satisfied with the car. Ive had the car since September 04 and am impressd with the performance, styling, and everything about this vehicle

This car shines on the highway. The 4 cylinder is more than adequate for passing. Car holds the road much better than my 2 Camrys of the past. In town, my only complaint is that the 4 cylinder tends to be loud when you start up from the stop sign. Engine smooths out and runs like silk. I have a bit of air noise around the doors I don't like. Seat comfort is much better for me than my Camarys (I am 5 foot 8)Shift is easy to handle though startling at first. Turning radius is not as sharp but presents no big problems.Compared to my Camary-I miss my leather, thats all. Fabric is good and cleans well. LOVE MY ALTIMA!

The only major thing I'd change would be that I would have gotten the 6-speed manual rather than the 5-speed automatic, but that wasn't my choice. Of course, there are some minor annoyances, but overall it's a fantastically fun, yet practical, sedan to own.

What a fun car to drive, From the response of the gas pedal, the stability of the suspension, and the comfort and support of the sport bucket seats I look forward to jumping into the drivers seat each and every day. The car comes stock with all the after market goodies you can expect to pay big time money for. The dash is nicely laid out and the stereo produces sound that is incomparable. The seating in the rear is comfy and spacious, through the car in sixth gear on the highway and expect to get 35mpg. I couldn't ask for more in a car. Good job Nissan.

I've wanted an Altima since the 2002 model debuted. So glad I waited till the 2005 model got here! I bought mine earlier this month. Notice how the former orange lights have changed. The two red lights on the rear show up beautifully against the polished pewter exterior. The seats are very comfortable, especially on a long drive. Love the radio/CD controls on the new Y shaped steering wheel. I like the redesigned hood and grill. I had been planning to make a good deal on an '04 Altima, but the new '05 hooked me.

I was looking for a good change in vehicles I saw the 3.5 SE Altima loved the look of the car. Once I drove it I was very impressed of the smoothness of the ride, all of the accessories they have including bose, sunroof, spoiler, and acceleration performance is awesome. So far the car has been perfect - no problems. It was hard for me to make the change but I do not regret it one bit. The interior is also very easy to clean and I like the design the sporty sleek look. Gas mileage on hwy excellent.

We bought the 3.5SL with everything but NAV. The interior is a vast improvement from previous years. It has a cockpit type feel to the front seats. The dashboard and controls are very well placed. The exterior styling is very nice with the few changes that were made. The xenons are very bright and look sharp. The most impressive thing I've noticed is the incredible power this car has. The handling is tight, but the SL doesn't have the sport suspension that the SE has so it is a little less tight in sharp turns. The 5 speed auto Sportronic transmition is very nice. This is a phenominal car with tons of extras for the price!!

I am particularly pleased with the safety features that Nissan had put into the Altima. I was driving my car when I was hit by a tornado. The pressure and debris caused all the glass in the car to break. I did not receive a single scratch or cut. I also love the performance of my Altima. It rides smooth and accelerates on command! My only dislike is the road noise. It can be loud on certain pavements especially on the interstate.

So far, I have had zero problems; my only trip to the dealer was to have tint and spoiler installed. Car is refreshing to drive; it has power to burn, is reassuring and stable in terms of handling, and looks gorgeous. It has a crisp, aggressive stance, but is not outlandish looking. Overall, an exceptional value!

I knew I was going to get an Altima but didn't quite know which model. Cost was a major concern so I initially wanted the 2.5 with sports package. After some thinking I decided to go with the 3.5 SE because who can so no to 250 horses? I thought the SE-R was out of my price range but its awesome test drive and aggressive looks begged to differ. After more consideration I chose the SE- R. I figured it was worth the extra dollars a month to get a vehicle that has all that you want with a truly UNIQUE look.

Just picked up a 2005 SE 3.5 today. Traded the wife's 99 Pathfinder. Had an excellent experience with the dealer, Autoway Nissan of Brandon. The car is a kick. Wife almost went for the 2.5 SL but the lack of ABS swayed her to the 3.5. Smoke in color. A real head turner. Only question is, how do I get my wife to let me drive it..

We just bought our Altima 3.5 SL one week ago. It is loaded with everything except the navigation system, which would be great for some people, but for me it would be to distracting! I have never enjoyed driving a car as much as I do this one! It is comfortable, has a smooth ride and is FAST!! I'm afraid I am really going to get in trouble with this car!! I would encourage anyone looking for a new vehicle to take a look at the Altima. I started out looking for a Pathfinder. After I drove the Altima, I knew it was "the one". I can't wait to take a road trip in this car!

I love my Altima and would encourage anyone to buy one too. It is sporty, comfortable and has great highway gas milage (for a non-hybrid car). I was also considering the Toyota Camry, but felt the Altima was the better choice for a person in their late twenties.
