Over a year later and nearly 32,000 miles, and I still look forward to every time I get behind the wheel! The car handles well in any kind of road condition, accelerates quickly and stops on a dime – a plus when it comes to Nashville driving. FUN to drive (though I got to watch out for those blue lights)! Such a comfortable ride both front and back, and for a fairly tall woman (with back trouble), I am seldom stiff when I get out of the car. It is a beautiful car, inside and out.

I use Edmnuds reviews all the time so I figured I'd add a review on the car I own. I did the usual research on reliable, safe cars with good fuel mileage and although the Accord and Camry are good cars I just felt the Altima was as good and a lot better looking. The Mazda 6 was the only car I thought that had a look that could compete with the Altima but the 6 seemed more like a sport coupe and less like a sedan (which I understand many people like). Mechanically I've had no problems with the car. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase, and judging by the number of Altima's I see on the road I'm assuming others are too.

I use to own a mustang cov and it was a fun car to drive but lacking space,in the trunk and interior, but when i got into the altima wow a whole new experience.I never though that a sedan can be fun to drive with out spending big bucks, i found a lot of aftermarket accessoiries, for the exterior making the car look very classy. It handels well for a sedan, i got the convenience pakage plus which includes a sun roof, trip computer and a lot of other fun stuff, the color satin white very classy and the best thing is a 20 gal gas tank and great gas milage 21 city and 28 hwy.I realy do not have any thing neg to say only that evry where i look i see an altima.Test drive one see for your self.

I now have three Nissan vehicles and find my 2004 Altima 2.5SL to be the best $20K luxury car on the market. I have over six foot tall and there is still room for adults in the back seat. Reliability has been flawness and gas mileage for my daily commute averages over 28 MPG.

I think this car is not only attractive on the outside as well as the inside, but this car handles great on the road. I also think that you don't need the V6 edition to get more punch when you drive. I drive the 2.5S model and that car definitely has some punch in it! When going 60 miles an hour, you don't even feel like your going that fast, even at speeds of 80 or more. I love this car so much that I hope to keep it on the road for 10years!:)

My altima is very fast! I use it for fun and for commuting. If my husband and i ever have children, there is plenty of room! I don't plan on selling this car ever! I love how fast it is and how smooth the ride is. I will definitely get another one like it if this one ever breaks or god forebid it gets hit. I love the navigation system, the bose system, and all of the power accessories.

This car shines on the highway. The 4 cylinder is more than adequate for passing. Car holds the road much better than my 2 Camrys of the past. In town, my only complaint is that the 4 cylinder tends to be loud when you start up from the stop sign. Engine smooths out and runs like silk. I have a bit of air noise around the doors I don't like. Seat comfort is much better for me than my Camarys (I am 5 foot 8)Shift is easy to handle though startling at first. Turning radius is not as sharp but presents no big problems.Compared to my Camary-I miss my leather, thats all. Fabric is good and cleans well. LOVE MY ALTIMA!

The only major thing I'd change would be that I would have gotten the 6-speed manual rather than the 5-speed automatic, but that wasn't my choice. Of course, there are some minor annoyances, but overall it's a fantastically fun, yet practical, sedan to own.

Although I have not had this vehicle a long time I find it fun and exciting to drive. The performance of the v6 is wonderful. The fit and finish is great. I am a little disappointed with the noise coming into the cabin area from the rear wheels. They could do a better job insulating this area. This is my first Nissan and so far so good.

I was deciding between and Acura and the Altima, for the price, this Altima has the power I look for. Even though the interior doesnt have much, it can always be modified to be luxury. Handling is good, the looks beats the Acura anytime. I decided on the Altima for the pricing, power, gas mileage and looks.

Researching cars and engines, I decided to buy a Nissan. Didn't like the blown-up Maxima so I bought the Altime 3.5 SE. Great acceleration when manually shift it (5 speed automatic) goes 0-60 in 5.5 seconds with slightly modified engine (performance intake).Gas mileage is good too (19-20 city, 29-30 highway with 93 octane). After rebuilding an older Maxima, I realized you get the most quality and performance for your money with Nissan. Nissan has a great luxury line of autos (Infiniti) especially the G3 5.

I've wanted an Altima since the 2002 model debuted. So glad I waited till the 2005 model got here! I bought mine earlier this month. Notice how the former orange lights have changed. The two red lights on the rear show up beautifully against the polished pewter exterior. The seats are very comfortable, especially on a long drive. Love the radio/CD controls on the new Y shaped steering wheel. I like the redesigned hood and grill. I had been planning to make a good deal on an '04 Altima, but the new '05 hooked me.

This is a great car. During the evacuation during the Rita storm, I was stuck in traffic for over 15 hours (the car was running nonstop), and I did not have any problems. While other vehicles were pulling over becasue they were running out of gas, I got to my destination 16 hours later with half a tank of gasoline left over. Fun car to drive and reliable.

I was looking for a good change in vehicles I saw the 3.5 SE Altima loved the look of the car. Once I drove it I was very impressed of the smoothness of the ride, all of the accessories they have including bose, sunroof, spoiler, and acceleration performance is awesome. So far the car has been perfect - no problems. It was hard for me to make the change but I do not regret it one bit. The interior is also very easy to clean and I like the design the sporty sleek look. Gas mileage on hwy excellent.

So far, I have had zero problems; my only trip to the dealer was to have tint and spoiler installed. Car is refreshing to drive; it has power to burn, is reassuring and stable in terms of handling, and looks gorgeous. It has a crisp, aggressive stance, but is not outlandish looking. Overall, an exceptional value!

I got this car with 40,000 miles, 3 years old. It is raplacing my 2004 Saab 93. I am pleasantly surprised by this vehicle. The 4 cyl coupled with the 4 speed automatic perform very well with good fuel economy. The brakes are not bad & aren't much worse than Saab which are probable the best of any car produced at any cost! I drove my Altimait 800 miles within 4 days & the front seat comfort is outstanding! This vehicle runs like a new car with very few rattles considering it's age & mileage. Only maintenance has been brakes which is to be expected. For some reason, Japanese brakes wear poorly & this car is no exception however they do perform well. Great car Nissan!

This car is easy to get in and out of. Very roomy. Performance and handling are best in class. 5 speed auto very smooth. Ride is nice but a little bumpy on rough roads. Lots of features for the money. This is a practical family sedan that will also satify a person's craving for performance. Long trips with winding curves with this car is great!

I saw this car in the dealers lot while I was browsing through the Maximas, and I am glad I did. I always liked Altimas. Only turn off for me was the interior. This model has a interior just like Maxima, which looks very classy and sleek. All the controls and knobs are within comfortable reach. Exterior looks great. Interior is very roomy. Even after I test drove some SUVs, I felt very comfortable in this car. I purchased the 2.5 liter because of the price distance. However, I still think the engine performance, especially high speed, is wonderful.

In Sept. 2004 I bought a 2005 Nissan Altima 3.5SE. Lthr SPrt Pkge, Satin White w/ Charcoal Lthr. 5-speed Manual. Really liked that car but could not handle a manual any longer. Traded it in with 7k miles in Feb 2005 for another 2005 3.5SE, this time however I got the Auto with Manual mode (won't be missing my 5spd) in Sheer Silver w/ Charcoal Lthr. I now also have a Navigation system (My White one didn't). I also added the chrome wheel exchange. I also got the side spoilers which make the car look much better. I've owned a total of 4 Nissans: 01 Altima SE, 03 Maxima SE, 05 ALtima 3.5SE (Manual), 05 Altima 3.5SE (Auto). They have all been great cars with no problems. Highly Recommend Nissan!!

I always thought the Altima was a nice looking car, but felt it had a cheap looking interior. Then I ran into the new 2005 model...the 3.5 ltr (6cyl) engine is now blowing out 250 horses, and has a new interior. I bought the new 3.5 SL (Sweet Luxury). I love sitting at stop lights waiting for some fool to come and race me. Even on the hiway, I drive the speed limit until fools try to pass me on the right...then ZOOM I am gone. The new wheels are a nice touch as well...look a little more like customized wheels. Also the BIG BOY "BOSE" stereo has one of the finest sounds no extra stereo components needed here...it gives off a LIVE sound when you crank it up.

I am a huge Nissan fan (my last 5 cars have been Nissan). My last car was an '02 Maxima 6spd, and I loved it. This car is every bit as nice, and cost me $2k less. Nissan made huge improvements on the interior for '05. If this interior would have been in the '02 model, I would have bought it instead of the Maxima. The engine is powerful, refined, and nice to listen to when revved. The design if very attractive (I have the Sonoma Sunset with dark smoke tint windows) and get's lots of looks. On the rare occasion that I let my wife drive it, she doesn't want to give it back. Nissan did a great job on this one. So far quality has been excellent (as I knew it would be).

I wanted this car for over a year. I was driving a 2004 Sentra and passed that down to my husband for his econo car. The car handles great, looks great, and the gas mileage is better than what is on the sticker. My 17 year old son says the back seat is very comfortable. I would recomend this car to everyone I know. It has been a dream to own. When I need to get another car I plan on getting the fully loaded 3.5 SL maybe in about 4 or 5 years. I still need to break this one in. Billie Martellaro

I have been a Mazda purchaser sinc 1988, so this is a new experience but so far, so good! The only thing I notice is some sort of fan that has a "whining" sound to it -- mechanically it operates great.

It's a great car for the money and so easy to drive! I considered purchasing either the Toyota Camry or Honda Accord, but neither came close to the performance, styling and overall value of the Nissan Altima. New for 2005, Nissan did a great job on the styling of the front-end and interior! Much improved over the 2004 model. Everything seems to flow very nicely with fit and finish as opposed to the Camry and Accord, where everything is a bit more “clunky.” The 5-speed automatic transmission is great, you can either have the car shift for you, or you can elect to bang through the gears under high acceleration yourself, seeing 0-60mph under just 6.0 seconds! The gas mileage is awesome with the

After over six months of driving my 2005 “Majestic Blue” Nissan Altima, I still can’t wait to get behind the wheel – even if it is just to the local Wal-Mart! I still can’t believe I am driving a car so beautiful inside and out. Love the sunroof, all of the steering wheel controls, and that get- up-and-go which enables a quick and safe merge into Nashville’s fast-moving traffic. (Anyone who has driven in Nashville would also appreciate the “stop-on-a-dime” set of brakes!!) The trunk room is great and with the fold-down seat, I have transported 8’ lengths of quarter-round back to Home Depot.

I went to the dealership looking for a new car. I thought I would get one that was a year or two old, maybe a Sentra. I thought what the heck, lets go ahead the test drive the new Altima, and I really liked it. There is a ton of room, it looks cool, and it is fun to drive. I would recommend the Altima to anyone looking to buy a new car!

Altima is only two weeks old today. So far it's been fun to drive. Gives you a sense of a muscle car with elegance. Solid built, sturdy and comfortable.

Car is great!! Very affordable and did not have to deplete my budget. Handles very well. Plenty of leg room front and back. I originally wanted the majestic blue, but ended up with the coral sand. This color is just as good because doesnt show up dirt that bad and can camouflage scratches/nicks as compared to dark colors. I got the Convenience Plus Package w/ mine which inc. sunroof. Love it!! Floor Mats have the Altima Named in them for an added touch. Coral sand also has wood grain inside to give it more appeal and it definitely works!!

After test driving several new cars including the 2004 Maxima, Camery, Honda and a few others, the 2005 Altima 3.5SE was the clear winner. Solid, quiet, responsive and with all the whistles and bells you could ask for. This is a fun car to drive!
