Used 2003 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
Last Nissan
After owning 4 Maxima's over the years, the Maxima had always been well built, had good resale and reputation, but not the most cutting edge with styling.I purchased a fully loaded SE, and while the exterior styling and engine are 1st rate, the interior cabin design and build quality looks and feels like it belongs in a car of much lesser cost!!( KIA!!??) While I realize the used car market is glutted at this point, my Altima has depreciated $7000.00 from the selling price,($10,000 from the sticker price!) and the car is not a year old yet!! I would gladly spend $40K, and have a vehicle that is of better quality and resale value .
What I think
This car handles well, fun to drive, yet very praticle. I went to tail gate and had room for chairs table Bar-b-q pit and all the goodies. For the money it is my "Best Buy". Acceleration is perfect on any grade. I am not left wanting for power in my driving experience.

The real truth about it......
Beautiful vehicle. I purchased the Sheer Silver with every option except for the wood grain. The only things that I have added is a color keyed grill & had the original rims chromed. In doing so, that made the vehicle for me! It rides semi smooth for the most part but when the road gets bumpy, you'll know it. Fantastic handling & mileage! Interior quality is maybe just avergae. An annoying thump in the right front shock has been a problem though. Everything else has been great! Really will surprise you on how quick it is. Older MUSTANG 5.0'S BEWARE!
Aggressive sedan
I have traditionally only purchased sport cars, because of the typical weak performance and styling on sedans. While I typically admired the quality of Japnaese cars, I was always disappoint with their conservative designs, like Camry and Accord. The Altima is truely cutting edge design. The V6 is great, even the 4 I tested was exceptional. I wouldn't compare it to a CamaroZ28, for which I also own, as a previous author had done. Hard to compare a 0to60 of 5.5 sec to 7.3 sec. The Altima will definitely blow away another sedan on the roam. I am 6' 4" and have plenty of room. Nissan did an excellent job everywhere it counts.
EXCELLENT
AN EXCELLENT VALUE, HOWEVER INTERIOR MATERIALS NOT NEAR QUALITY OF MY 00 MAXIMA
