I love my 200SX SE!
I bought my 200SX SE new in '96. It's now almost 15 with 100,000 miles on it. It's been very reliable and still looks great (it has gathered a few door dings over the years and the clear coat has started to peel in two spots). I love the way it looks and the way it drives. Although I recently had to upgrade to an SUV, due to my growing family, I decided to keep it...the car is simply worth much more to me than what a dealership would give for a trade in. When it's just me (no kid or dogs) I leave the SUV at home and take my first baby.
my opinion
My Nissan 1996 200SX SE is the best car I have ever purchased. From the day i bought it to present in addition to routine maintance I only replaced the front brakes, alternator, headlights and all 4 tires. If you are in the market for a used car, consider a nissan 200SX, a trully reliable and fun to drive car.
Nice & Cheap
I have owned 2 of this style 200SX, and I have no complaints with either. The first one I had was an automatic, and it needed a little work, but $200 later it was a good daily driver. The second one I've owned (and still have) is very nice. It is a 5-speed, and that alone made it Twice as fun to drive! The 1.6 gets me around good enough. I can't brag enough about the fuel mileage. It has roughly 190K miles and still gets about 30-32 mpg. The biggest issue I've had with this one is replacing main seals, and other random gaskets, but it is a high mileage car! No signs of trouble to come. I need 4 doors now, so I'll probably get the Sentra version of this car. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Great Car
I've been driving my Se-R for about 4 and a half years now and it is still a pleasure to drive. It has never given me any mechanical problems and beyond general oil changes and 1 set of tires I haven't had to spend an extra dime on it. I love this car, and plan to drive it for a long time to come. Sporty, comfortable, and fuel efficient. This car rocks. If you can find one, I highly recommend it.
Fun Nissan 2 Drive
This is my first car and I have only had this car for two weeks and I love it. It is real fun to drive and I love everything about it. It only has 85000 miles on it and it drive like its new. Mine came fully loaded w/ sunroof, CD player, spoiler, fog lights and some little alloy's that I will be replacing w/ 17's or 18's. I haven't had any problems w/ it as of yet but alignment and to change my gear oil.
