As others mentioned the HOOD!! The first week I had mine I thought the hitch wasn’t on good. I pulled over and it was fine. After going over 65 it shakes to were you think it’s going to fly off. I’ve gotten used to it, but it does have a recall on it!! Second issue is my led screen, sometimes I’ll be listen to music and the whole screen goes black, and after a few seconds it reboots itself and turns back on!! Third issue I had to get the rack and pinion replaced after the first month because I had a thump in my stirring wheel. Fourth issue the mirror on the driver side 75% of the time it won’t pop back open unless I mess with the button inside. The dealership where I bought my outlander has promised to replace my hood for 11 month’s and I’m still waiting!! I’m actually thinking about trading mine in. For reference, I have the 2022 white diamond sel .

Step up from the Outlander Sport

Back while my wife was in school (2013) we purchased an end of lease outlander sport and 120,000 miles later besides a bad TMC module that thing is still going strong. Loud road noise, bad acceleration but it pulled itself through several snowstorms. So since we had such great luck she wanted a Outlander. We've owned the Outlander for several months now and the only issue so far was a faulty backup camera, had to wait a month to get that repaired. The interior, ride, acceleration are all a huge improvement over our old sport. Lane assist works well, blind spot indicators are great (but I still double check). The interior room is perfect for 4 adults, the 3rd row imo is useless. Wish there was an option to have a full size spare tire in the trunk instead. Any of our long trips we now take the Outlander, from looks to comfort honestly it's hard to beat for $30k.

Really Impressive SUV

This is my second Mitsubishi SUV. My first was a 2011 Endeavor and I loved that vehicle, so I thought I would give Mitsubishi another look this year when searching for a new ride. I’ve driven many different brands over the years (Audi, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, etc.). Something always brings me back to Mitsubishi. The build quality, impressive technology, and luxury interior craftsmanship are just a few highlights of the new 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander. It’s beautifully designed inside and out. Normal driving mode is fine for everyday driving, but if you need/want a few extra horses, just put it in tarmac mode. Zoom! Wireless Apple CarPlay and charging make your daily commute a breeze. The MiPilot self-driving feature on the SEL edition is such a great option when driving long distances. I’ve used it many times without fail. The interior of this vehicle is truly remarkable in design, soft touches, and comfort. It’s breathtaking to look at (much more luxurious than some of the luxury brands I’ve owned). There’s no buyers remorse here.

Do not buy, they’re trash

Do not even think about buying an Outlander. I got mine 12 month ago and I really regret it. The hood had to be replaced, it has been in the shop more than 4 times cause the display screen will just turn off, gasoline smell coming out through the A/C vents and they just don’t care. They have only done several updates to the system to see if the screen will work but nothing seem to improve. They have had my Oitlander for a week now and they have not (according to them) received the part that will solve the gasoline smell. It got to a point were my mom felt sick cause of the strong odor but according to the techs it was safe for my to drive it. I had to speak to the general manager of the dealership and explain everything to him in order for them to provide my with a rental. Please even think t about going with Mitsubishi. I have vacations planned for this weekend and guess what? Well they have my Outlander and they provided my with a little, little car were we obviously don’t fit. Either I will have to loose what I paid for my vacations or I will have to rent a bigger vehicle, of course that will come out of my pocket, which it is not fair cause I’m still complying with all my payments and they just can’t provide a reliable vehicle.

Purchased a 2024 SEL Outlander in February. On most roads the tire noise and wind noise is terrible. It wasn't noticeable during thevtest drive. Difficult to enjoy this vehicle. I highly recommend taking a extensive road test. The seating is comfortable and plenty or tech.

Owned the 2023 LES outlander for 3 months now. We bought it because it boasts 7 seats. Once the carseat was installed there is no leg room in the back seats for anyone. Zero space for the 6th and 7th passenger. So cramped. Road trips are a thing of the past. Fuel economy is horrible! Fabric seems cheap. Anyone who can actually fit in the back row can't hear any music as there's no speakers. Speakers in the front are weak. I guess this was a bad choice from coming from a nissa titan platinum. This car comes no way near close to the comfort and coolness. Sorry Mitsubishi. I see trading this in, as soon as possible in our future.

Underwhelming

I didn’t like the ergonomics, the layout for the center console, or the control configuration on the steering wheel. The seat was comfortable and offered good support for long distance driving without crippling my back, so that’s worth a star all by itself. Your mileage may vary. I absolutely hated the cruise control. Climbing a mountain I found myself going ten mph under the set speed because the cruise control was already commanding maximum power and the engine couldn’t maintain speed. Fair is fair; there were four people in the vehicle and all of our baggage for a weekend. Respectable enough performance for a four cylinder. Coming down the other side, however, I looked down and found myself going TWENTY!!!!! mph over the set speed. If you programmed the car to the speed limit and didn’t keep a watchful eye on it, that’s a pretty hefty speeding ticket. If you programmed it to speed a little, depending on its ability to maintain speed within an mph or two and the forbearance of the local constabulary, you’d be at a serious risk of being arrested for reckless driving.

This SUV has been everything I hoped it would be. The engine and transmission is perfectly suited to my driving style. I might not win drag races but that's not why I purchased this vehicle. It accelerates smoothly and achieves merging speeds without causing any concerns. The exterior is quite impressive looking good and not a carbon copy of all the other SUVs in its class. It feels and drives much larger than it looks. The interior is impressive as well. The materials look top notch. There is almost every option you could desire to make your driving experience a pleasurable and safe experience. The audio system is not the highest quality system made but it does the job. I didn't buy the vehicle to listen to music I bought it to get me from point A to point B as safely and comfortably as possible. I rarely turn on my radio anyway. I am thoroughly satisfied with this vehicle at this point of my ownership.

I bought a 2023 Outlander SE after being exhausted trying to find a decent used SUV & other new SUVS are so expensive! BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Since One day of owning 5/4- The alignment was messed up I took it in to have it fixed today 5/5 the cameras stopped working, the stereo speakers sound blown, there is a rattling sound in the dash, the brakes feel weird, there is a burning wire/rubber smell now, it kept pulling to the right, driver assist, lane assist, steering assist works when it wants to, wiper speed on automatic turned to the lowest is too fast it obviously doesn’t have a decent sensor. I just know the light wiring is going to have Recalls I had a truck that had LED lights put in the wires started burning it had the same smell. it sitting running sounds like a lawn mower, definitely has no power they could have at least put a vtech turbo 4 cylinder the current 4 cylinder it has you can definitely tell don’t try passing anyone you wouldn’t be able to, the transmission feels like it slips or something. I have a maxima with a v6 xtronic cvt and it has 205k miles still runs perfect. I wanted a 2020 pathfinder but couldn’t find one, & the new Nissans are crazy priced! There are so many things wrong with this Outlander that I’m going to actually go backwards and trade it because I drive 3-5k miles a month and don’t want to risk breaking down or having issues 24/7 & it’s best to just trade now while there is less than 400 miles. I took it on a mini road trip & thankfully I did before I do my monthly 2000 mile trip because the problems for a Brand New vehicle are unreal. I would think twice before buying this. Seriously get a better brand used SUV don’t go off looks but mechanics. I wish I would have kept looking & read reviews first. I’m beyond frustrated & aggravated. I’m really upset, I’m going to have to do a trade and lose money on something I purchased 24 hours ago but has too much going on. This suv is not it. The SE is very basic too 6 speakers, passenger seat is manual, 3rd row what 3rd row? no spare tire, no storage space, my daughters new Acura integra is bigger , more durable, drives 100X better I am actually going to try to trade for one. I can tell the quality difference and drives like a quality car should, it’s heavier made, you feel like you’re going to blow over in the outlander. It’s very poor all the way around I think it’s time Mitsubishi gives up on making vehicles they’ve not made anything reliable since the old school lancers. They really need to just sell out to Acura, or Toyota and stop- they’re only going to upset more people than make happy. I hope nobody gets in such a mess of buying a poorly made vehicle. Please read the bad reviews- the good ones are more than likely paid for reviews there is absolutely nothing positive to say about this outlander. The 2020 pathfinder is a great year if you can find one with lower miles, the MDX, the integra, Lexus, murano are reliable and better do your research, read reviews, recalls & complaints I wish I would have

2023 outlander ES AT 9 months rear differential went. Had to be towed to dealership then waiting 2 months for repair.. 2 months later leak in the front axel seal which was transmission fluid.. took month and half to repair.. now a few weeks later and having transmission issues.. feels like a standard car that is going to stall. Don’t know how long g this will take to fix.. tire that came on in are crap blew the tire in the first three months and no spare tire… needless to say a trade is in the very near future and will never purchase from them again! Stay clear!

For as nice as it looks and as much as I paid I expected a lot more from this vehicle. It’s noisy and a strange popping sound started coming from the body at about 5,500 miles and the right front suspension is also making a popping sound. The 3rd row of seating is non existent so there’s no point of even having them. I’m totally disappointed with my purchase.

Our 2023 Outlander has been at the dealership for over a month now waiting on parts, a strut. They keep saying they aren’t making extras and I say sure they are they are on every new Outlander. You should know this prior to purchasing a Mitsubishi! Unless you have multiple vehicles you may want to stay away from this brand. This is my last for sure!

Rented a '24 SE for a weekend 580 mile jaunt. Found the Outlander to be comfortable with a good view of the road. Roomy inside but not much room behind the 3rd row of seats. Gas mileage was approx. 26 mpg under normal driving conditions. The Outlander needs some more HP, however it did handle well. So would I buy one? No, but I'm not a family man! If I had a few kids, wife, dog, etc. yeah I would buy an Outlander!

Purchased a 2023 Outlander, 2 months later my brother-in-law purchased a 2023 Outlander also. My BIL had to replace tires at approximately 20 thousand miles because of a cupped tire. At 40 thousand miles the same rear tire was cupped again. My Outlander now has 18 thousand miles and I noticed a lot of road noise so I checked my back tires and sure enough one is cupped.

My last 2 cars were Honda CRV’s which I loved but Honda has raised the prices so much we decided to try something new. I loved the look of the Outlander and the price was right. That is all it has going for it. If you’re looking for a car that everything works on, this is not the car for you. The touch screen is sketchy and freezes. Half the time apple car play will let you hear the directions but not see the map. The first time I tried to use the washer fluid it didn’t work, so assuming it was empty (on a brand new car) I added fluid. That was not the case, it just doesn’t work. The cruise control is basically worthless. Even on a straight away it can’t hold speed and heaven forbid you are on any type of incline. With less than 1500 miles on it the change oil light came on. Don’t set your purse on the passenger floor board if your keys are in it. The car won’t detect the key and start. If you’re trying to lock the car, make sure not to put your key in your gym bag or in your purse unless you keep it on your hip closest to the door or it won’t lock. This is the worst car purchase I’ve ever made.

I’ve had my 2024 Outlander SEL Platinum for two weeks now. Ride is adequate and cabin is roomy. Cupholders in front could use more accessible placement. The seats definitely lack padding. So much so, in fact, I find my legs going numb after about 20-25 minutes. Just ordered a cushion online this morning. I hope it helps. Very disappointing lack of detail by Mitsubishi on what is supposed to be their top of the line trim level.

I did tons of research on the new (22 and on) Outlanders and I am so glad I chose to trust the research. I had never even considered a Mitsubishi, but did and I am blown away at my 24 Outlander SEL Touring. Gas mileage is great, safety is amazing, drive is smooth, and interior is beautiful. Third row is small but I knew it was just an added bonus in a compact SUV category that’s hard to come by. Power isn’t super impressive but it’s a 4 cylinder and it most definitely is fast enough and powerful enough for me around town and on the interstate. Warranty is fantastic and my dealership experience was amazing, so for me, it’s an absolute yes for what we needed! I am so excited to drive it.

I am renting this car for a drive through Nevada. It is the worst car I have ever driven. The engine is so underpowered that passing at speed is dangerous. Acceleration is anemic. Some people say the ride is good. I found the steering to be overly sensitive leading to a lack of smoothness and road feel. The lack of visibility to the blind spots coupled with small side view mirrors is dangerous. Perhaps the stupidest part of the car that sums up the design flaws is that reverse is selected by pushing forward on the gear selector while holding down a side button. Avoid this vehicle at all costs.

Mitsubishi Outlander 2024. Experiencing difficulty in viewing rear camera results. The result very hazy that sometimes makes you nervous that you may hit an object or person. Mitsubishi should consider to recall and replace the camera with a better quality to ensure proper safety. Agreed with others that 3rd seat has not enough room for adults. Even children have issue with leg room.

The 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander drives great, love the technology and the Bose radio system is amazing. With the windows down there is a lot of road noise but how often do you drive with the windows down? So far I am getting 27MPG combined not bad for AWD. For the money this is a great vehicle one of the FEW vehicles priced a few thousand off MSRP.

Overall me wife&kids love it. Driving 140+miles daily work and house. Average 35-39 mpg. Looks like she should cost a lot more. Very safe, reliable and smooth ride. Simple maintenance no issues or complaints. Bought with 4mi. Over 110,000 now and no engine noise at all. As quiet as the day we got her. 2022 outlander SE, chrome package.
